  1. Yeah, Moyes sued Rooney. Yet conversely by all accounts they have a decent enough relationship. Rooney has on numerous times said how much he respected Moyes for the way he handled the start of his career, and Moyes has said within the past year or so that he expects Rooney to head back to Everton at some point. I don't think they'd have any problem whatsoever working together.

    Sir Alex Ferguson

Think it's set up for Mourinho. Said on numerous occasions how much he respects Man Utd, gets along with Ferguson very well and I think it's perfect timing for him after going on so much about how he wants to come back to England. Entirely plausible it could be Moyes, admittedly. Next season will be odd, first season in my lifetime where Man Utd won't have Ferguson in charge. One of the greatest of all time and by all accounts a thoroughly pleasant bloke out of the game, but also with the ability to be a twat in it. I guess it'll go down as competitiveness.
  3. No bets for me tonight. Your fate is in the hands of the gods or, at least, the right boot of Shaun Maloney.
  4. My bet currently is going obscenely badly. Have PSG and Barca both to be the first to score twice. Both went behind in home games they should be coasting, Barca are now 1-1 and Villa's just blazed it over from 6 yards out. Don't know why I bother.
  5. Betis lead at Barca after 2 mins.
  6. Made some money on the draw in our game, went along the lines that betting on Liverpool would be too easy a way of making money, and betting on us would be lunacy, so went down the middle. Generally though not won much at all recently. Each win is followed by 2 or 3 losses it seems. No bother Felipao, it would be my honour.

I think Sunderland will win tomorrow, but if they don't then their game vs Southampton next week becomes very interesting indeed. A ridiculous amount of ifs and buts - things will become an awful lot clearer after Wigan v Swansea is over and done with.
  8. He's at QPR isn't he? Not sure if he still exists.
  9. Goodison. Total crisp packet hands from Reina. A lovely day.
  10. Interesting debate going on over at the Everton forum. Seemingly getting set upon for suggesting our horrible record at Anfield, Highbury/Emirates, Old Trafford and Stamford Bridge (haven't won at Anfield since 2001, haven't won at the others since the mid 90s IIRC) actually has a lot to do with our general mentality of accepting a point as a good result, period. We should be better than that, and not to win a single game in over a decade at any of these grounds is fucking shit. Sorry, that sounded a bit like Martin Jol. I'll update you on the latest developments of our u14s free kick tournament soon.
  11. "It's a bit like kissing your sister" ffs
  12. Evra breath you take, hahahaha.
  13. Standard. Weak performance, ref screws us. Rinse and repeat.
  14. Amused me when Fellaini was in a rich vein of form earlier in the year, pundits falling over themselves trying to praise him and exaggerate how good he was. We'll have to sell someone to fund any new signings so if someone offers us 25m for him then I'd say yes. On his day, he's unplayable. The paradox is the bloke also struggles with the very basics of the game.
  15. Shambles of a half from both teams.
  16. A lot of pace, movement and desire.
  17. Odd derby today. Our season's already over on a practical level, we're not getting into Europe and we're either finishing 6th or 7th - only thing left is whether we finish above Liverpool or not. Would like to see us just go for it today and see what happens but I'm fully expecting our usual Anfield surrender.
  18. What's your opinion on the Liverpool-Everton match, Neil? Our record at Anfield tells you everything you need to know. Every year we bottle it.
  19. Many bookies offering 5/1 on Newcastle to be relegated. A lot of people seem to think it's likely; put your money where your mouth is.
  20. Grow up. Tottenham are 2 levels below winning a big trophy. Arsenal and Chelsea haven't been at their best and they're fighting neck and neck with Spurs. That is their level. Staying another year is a good shout but Spurs aren't that close to challenging for big honours. Totally disagree. I firmly believe Spurs are a couple of quality players away from a genuine top 2 push. Man Utd have not been that good this year yet they're streets ahead of the competition. They really aren't anything special. OK, they may not suddenly win the title but they're looking up a hell of a lot more than looking down. I say good on them. And I hope Bale stays.
  21. Norwich quietly in a lot of trouble too, with Man City away on the last day of the league. Can't help feel Villa losing would have been a better result though.
