Was saying yesterday that the last minute own goal could have pretty much sealed Wigan's fate, but it's easy to forget they have a game in hand - against Swansea at home IIRC. Win that and it's all fun and games.

He has and i don't like to praise him even if you wanted to go like for like as in position wise..... Cazorla, Michu and Fellaini have all been comfortably better than Hazard Trust me when I tell you Fellaini has not been comfortably better than Hazard. The bloke sometimes struggles to control a ball and pass it 10 yards. His passing always looks like a weakness for somebody who has stylised himself as a central midfielder or attacking midfielder. Yup. He's underwhelming with the ball at his feet mate, and that's being very kind. Well, certainly underwhelming for someone who is valued so highly. He's a damn good player and I know exactly what he brings to us but if we get a big offer for him in the summer then I'd be tempted to cash in. Because let's be honest, that's the only way we're going to have some money to spend. A million miles from ideal but a necessary evil and all things considered, the right offer would be too good to turn down. Plus IMO I don't think he'll want to stay much longer.

An obvious one here, but Man Utd fans. Hancock earlier had the usual smattering of them. Barely said a word during the game, weren't even paying attention for parts of it but of course were giving it everything when Van Persie scored. It was also clear they didn't spend that much time following the ins and outs of "their" club given some of their conversations (didn't have a clue who their remaining fixtures were, "Rafael would do really well for the Spanish national side, dunno why he hasn't been called up", and so on). Bunch of odious little turbocunts.

Can't argue with the main award too much. Been the best player to watch this season and generally very effective. He's 24 in a couple of months, though. In today's game, I don't count a 23 year old as being young. More and more players are getting good at an earlier stage of their career (increasingly developed facilities and opportunities for youngsters) so I really don't see him as being a young player. Think him winning it devalues the young player award tbh.

There's little to say other than that I've had an absolute nightmare there.

Was Les Ferdinand just then criticising Taarabt for smiling after the game today? Redknapp was nigh-on laughing with (I think) Nigel Bond!

 Utterly absurd stuff yet at the same time, it's not surprising. It's Liverpool, never underestimate their warped sense of self-importance and self-righteousness. Scummy little wankers.

It happened again. Talk about Barca on here being good value, get royally twatted. Had Dortmund game over 3.5 goals, keep it quiet, wins. This place is a fucking curse. It's not me, it's you.

Entirely predictable response from a manager who is completely and utterly in tune with the Liverpool philosophy.
-
Liverpool fans are a special breed of supporters. Hard to rationally explain their beliefs.

Neil strikes again. Please put money on Liverpool on Saturday... It was good value. Before the 4 goals.

Bloody incredible result.

Barca 17/10 DNB with Victor. Tell me that isn't good value.

 Brilliant.

I think part of it is because people enjoy the idea of a team being 'the team' to really outplay Barca. Like a mythical quest. Mourinho's worked it out to some extent, but I think people generally want to see a team have a go at Barca and simply be better than them attacking-wise. This IMO explains some of the movement in the odds. I don't know for sure but I'd dare say there's some classic German overconfidence in Bavaria today. It's perfectly feasible Bayern could win 3-1 or something, but for me it's almost as likely Barca will win 2-1 for example. The odds don't reflect the reality. At that price, you have to take Barca every day of the week. 13/8 DNB as well. Incredibly tempting.

Can get 14/5 on Barca tonight. When was the last time they were such long odds to win a game of football? Bayern could well win tonight, absolutely. They're a sensational side. But Barca are better on their day. It's a lot closer than the odds suggest IMO. The value is with Barca tonight, no doubt at all in my mind.
-
Bayern are a brilliant side and have every chance of going through, but is it just me or is the opinion shifting too far towards Bayern's corner? Barca are a big price.
-
Stealing that.

It is. And he's made it an even more difficult position by answering the question like an absolute arsewipe. He doesn't even have to admit it there and then - but to then have the temerity to go on about Torres/Carragher. Sneaky, Brendan. Sneaky.

Rodgers is truly engrained in the Liverpool mentality. http://p.twimg.com/As5L_-tCAAEjy4q.jpg:large

I would not be at all surprised if he gets away with this, or gets away lightly. Let's be clear here. This wasn't controversial, this wasn't dramatic, this wasn't "the 2 sides to Luis Suarez". That was someone biting another fucking player, the disgusting little tramp. His last minute goal will probably all culminate in a "ooh isn't he controversial, the little scamp" mentality, as opposed to him getting the lengthy ban he deserves for being a deplorable piece of shit. I'm saying that because that's quite often how incidents like this are seen. I don't know what the benchmark for this is in this country, but surely it has to be something along the lines of the 7 game ban he got at Ajax. How is it different?

Cool as you like from Aidan Azar.
