  1. There's little to say other than that I've had an absolute nightmare there.
  2. Was Les Ferdinand just then criticising Taarabt for smiling after the game today? Redknapp was nigh-on laughing with (I think) Nigel Bond!
  3. Utterly absurd stuff yet at the same time, it's not surprising. It's Liverpool, never underestimate their warped sense of self-importance and self-righteousness. Scummy little wankers.
  4. It happened again. Talk about Barca on here being good value, get royally twatted. Had Dortmund game over 3.5 goals, keep it quiet, wins. This place is a fucking curse. It's not me, it's you.
  5. Entirely predictable response from a manager who is completely and utterly in tune with the Liverpool philosophy.
  6. Liverpool fans are a special breed of supporters. Hard to rationally explain their beliefs.

  8. Neil strikes again. Please put money on Liverpool on Saturday... It was good value. Before the 4 goals.
  9. Barca 17/10 DNB with Victor. Tell me that isn't good value.
  10. I think part of it is because people enjoy the idea of a team being 'the team' to really outplay Barca. Like a mythical quest. Mourinho's worked it out to some extent, but I think people generally want to see a team have a go at Barca and simply be better than them attacking-wise. This IMO explains some of the movement in the odds. I don't know for sure but I'd dare say there's some classic German overconfidence in Bavaria today. It's perfectly feasible Bayern could win 3-1 or something, but for me it's almost as likely Barca will win 2-1 for example. The odds don't reflect the reality. At that price, you have to take Barca every day of the week. 13/8 DNB as well. Incredibly tempting.
  11. Can get 14/5 on Barca tonight. When was the last time they were such long odds to win a game of football? Bayern could well win tonight, absolutely. They're a sensational side. But Barca are better on their day. It's a lot closer than the odds suggest IMO. The value is with Barca tonight, no doubt at all in my mind.
  12. Bayern are a brilliant side and have every chance of going through, but is it just me or is the opinion shifting too far towards Bayern's corner? Barca are a big price.
  13. It is. And he's made it an even more difficult position by answering the question like an absolute arsewipe. He doesn't even have to admit it there and then - but to then have the temerity to go on about Torres/Carragher. Sneaky, Brendan. Sneaky.
  14. Rodgers is truly engrained in the Liverpool mentality. http://p.twimg.com/As5L_-tCAAEjy4q.jpg:large
  15. I would not be at all surprised if he gets away with this, or gets away lightly. Let's be clear here. This wasn't controversial, this wasn't dramatic, this wasn't "the 2 sides to Luis Suarez". That was someone biting another fucking player, the disgusting little tramp. His last minute goal will probably all culminate in a "ooh isn't he controversial, the little scamp" mentality, as opposed to him getting the lengthy ban he deserves for being a deplorable piece of shit. I'm saying that because that's quite often how incidents like this are seen. I don't know what the benchmark for this is in this country, but surely it has to be something along the lines of the 7 game ban he got at Ajax. How is it different?
  16. Cool as you like from Aidan Azar.
  17. That was an annoyingly good goal. Wankers.

  19. Yup. As for Porto, being the best team in the league does that mean that winning the treble is "in line with expectations". It's clearly exceeding them. At Chelsea, he failed. However there were clear mitigating circumstances for that. Does it excuse him entirely? Course not, I'm sure he made some poor decisions, but calling it a failure full stop is a pretty naive conclusion. At Spurs, position-wise he's doing about right. However he's got them playing progressively and in with a very real chance of finishing 3rd - which, if we're purely sticking to "expectations", would be exceeding them IMO. He's a good manager who is getting better. He'll probably become a great manager.
