The Barcelona of a couple of months ago would destroy PSG tonight IMO. Not been very impressed at all with PSG this season whenever I've watched them, relative to the quality in their team and their perceived stature in European football today. The Championship table is ridiculously tight. If these teams hold on today, then about half the league is a relegation candidate. It shouldn't be a consideration due to how many teams there are but Middlesbrough, who've been in and around the playoff positions for most of the year, might just be 6 or 7 points ahead of 22nd tonight, and they're in absolutely awful form.

On a general point, Carrick looks a top player now. Thought he's had the ability for many years, but it seemed like he was lacking confidence for a couple of years. Ferguson's now shown tremendous faith and subsequently Carrick's confidence has come on leaps and bounds and looks like the player he's threatened to be for a while. Looks extremely comfortable on the ball, tends to play it simple but can go longer if required and in my mind should be a nailed-on starter for England, alongside Wilshere (when fit).
