What gets me is this. It isn't so much that they don't admit they have weaknesses, or things aren't going well, or so and so isn't very good.
But it's this delusion that anything negative is a mere blip, a rare event, a completely unexpected moment. As though they think they usually have a really good squad, as though they think that if they bought so and so, they'd be a top 6 team.
They really do stretch their arguments to unbelievable lengths. Talking about Welbeck and Henderson as though they're consistent, quality players, just to fit a ludicrous argument. It's just a mindfuck.
