    Alan Pardew

I was gonna say. I think your game against Fulham may be quite telling. It's a winnable home game, and the impetus will be on you to attack.

Please don't talk about that award like it means something. I don't think Parker is as bad as people are making out but that award is a joke. Parker - Rooney - Gerrard - Ronaldo - Ronaldo - Henry - Lampard - Henry - Henry - Pires Not that much of a joke is it. Last year it was. I agree with Froggy that I don't think he's as bad as some are making out but he's not a player Spurs should be signing in order to progress. Parker was superb last season according to Hammers fans who watched him week in and week out. He's exactly the sort of player we need in order to progress and will be a key player for us imo. West Ham were f***ing dire last season. He might have been a bit of a bright light in terms of their woeful play, but playing well for a side that got relegated doesn't mean you're good enough for a 5th/6th place side. Plus, Huddlestone and Sandro are better, and Livermore probably will be by the end of the season. Waste of money. Juninho. Livermore better than Parker by the end of the season :mackems: :mackems: :mackems: Parker is average. Livermore has the potential to be better than average. You're telling me about the potential of a player at my club? a player i've seen play both at youth level and at first team level? a player i've actually seen live on one occasion? How about you stick to telling people the potential of Ravel Morrison and i'll have the spurs ones covered. Just remember, whenever you have an opinion on a Manchester United player that I disagree with, you're 100% in the wrong, because it's my club and I've seen them in the flesh. ------------ Not only seen them in the flesh, though. Seen them in the flesh once! Yeah, eat that.
  3. I'm not sure. Commentators seemed to ignore that as well. He had an absolute acre of space.

    Everton, screwed?

Mainly because of Neil like. Maybe we can adopt him? EVERTOON MAG! Neil's been desperate to start supporting NUFC since HBA owned Goodison. Lucky hit.

    Everton, screwed?

I think there's the main difference between a fans point of view and financial reality. They're a good example of how to 'spend within your means' each year, while adding to the ever-burdening cost of borrowing to 'show ambition' and sign/retain top players. Something that certain Ashley-hating posters on here have been advocating As I say, I'd be laughed out of town if I said "you don't have things too bad, actually." That's purely from what I read, of course. But the impression I get is, behind the woefully incompetent football side of his ownership, he's cleaned an awful lot up behind the scenes in terms of debt?
  7. Is that a post-watershed translation of Souness' witterings about someone being a proper "man's man"?

    Everton, screwed?

If you look at our accounts and follow financial tidbits, then it's been known for a while now that we're in the shit financially. Funny how the media have decided to jump on it the past week or 2, as though they're surprised that yes, we really do have no money.

    Everton, screwed?

Quiet, Dave - don't you remember we're the beacon of how to be a "proper club"?

    Everton, screwed?

Arteta - a lot. Think he's the highest earner at the club - 65/70k Rodwell - not much, think he's only on 25k-ish. Jags - 40-45k Baines - similar I think Those are a few, I have a feeling Fellaini's still on relatively low wages. Think Cahill and Heitinga also earn 50k+
  11. Yes, ish. Sort of. No, not really.
  12. There's an argument to be made that Obertan replaced Barton pre-emptively, you know... I have to agree with you there. That really is firm, solid replacing right there.
  13. Barton being replaced by anyone would be bad news for one forum member.

    Sunderland...

So, the fans have lost all recollection of reality. The manager has completely lost his marbles. Will Short stick around for long?

    Sunderland...

mag at work makes a surprise guest appearance and this one is stoopid Mag At Work Returns: and this time, he's really, really thick and stuff.
  16. It's an internet forum and you're hundreds of miles away in Germany but... I know you, David. Get those bets on. Hopefully better luck tonight.
  17. Dunno. I imagine they'll play a strong-ish side like. Best leave any betting until an hour or so's time.
  18. Why? We have not got the players to break down what will be a very defensive minded Fulham team. Why will they be very defensive-minded?

Is that to go with Diarra? Or is that deal officially dead? redknapp said yesterday it's very much alive but I doubt it. If you look at my posts from weeks back I did say I'd have prefered we get Parker over diarra when diarra was looking the most likely. Diarra offers nothing going forward IMO and I prefer sandro anyway. Parker on the other hand is a box to box combatitive cm and we dont have anyone like that in the team. Which Parker is this? Peter Parker?
