After a disastrous start for my Barca and Inter -1 bet, Sevilla take the lead, yay.
-
And a third through Mutu.
-
Barca 0-1 Kazan.

Ref says... NO! *Picks up ball after falling over* Ref says... YES!

Have a feeling it'll be the combinations I've picked that'll let me down, because I fancy *most* to come through. Certainly made tonight interesting, anyway. £5 on Barca (-1) and Inter (-1) returns a little over £15. £2 on Arsenal, Rangers, Blackpool and Leicester returns £24. £1 on Sevilla, Arsenal, Nottingham Forest and Bristol City returns £11. and £1 on Sevilla, Newcastle, Olympiakos, QPR and WBA (-1) returns £27.

Poor against Utd? IIRC they should have got at least a draw from that.
-
Top of the table and people want the manager out. Plenty of flaws, aye, but this is bordering on pathetic. For the Championship, surely he would suffice?
-
That's how you defend, lads.

You love him, secretly.

And the selling of Alonso. Their fans have placed Benitez above criticism but that might be one of his biggest mistakes. To be fair to Benitez on that one, the Italian lad (forget his name) he bought to replace him hasn't kicked a ball yet. Granted, but selling Alonso full stop comes across as foolish. Unless, there was no way he was going to stay. Agree totally, I've always rated Alonso as being a cracking player. Still too early to hang that one on Benitez just yet. If Aquilani bombs then he'll get stick.....I'd imagine anyway. If they've put him on a pedestal and immune from criticism that's their fucking problem. I hope they crash and burn big style. I hope their fortunes improve. ...

I wonder how many Liverpool fans will blame a beach ball, and not their over-reliance on 2 players and subsequent mediocrity without them.

Inter are mint. Apart from in the CL. But aye, have you been good or have Genoa been awful? Thought it'd have been a close game.
-
Don't toy with my feelings in this way. Leaves me in disarray.
-
As good as Alonso's? In my mind, Kaka's was better.
-
4-2. Kaka's pass was stunning. Alonso's actually. Maybe. Whoever it was.
-
Good chance for Valladolid, this. Edit: wasted.

Strange you say that. Moyes needs to sort his fucking tactics and subs out. Starting with two defensive mids against an awful side like Wolves at home, then leaving our worst players on for 90mins while others go off. He's a fucking dickhead sometimes. It was so frustrating. These past 2 games have been really. What's happened to Cahill? He offers very little in the middle of midfield, yes, but his main asset - making those runs, and finishing chances - seems to be non-existent this year. We desperately need Arteta back ASAP. And for the time being, the last thing we need is our next most creative player injured as well. (That said, Bily has looked pretty good so far). Aye we should have won today but that ultimately means nothing. 2 points from these last 2 games is abysmal.

this! why does it take a bollocking at half time to get them to play better football? just fucking put that effort in from the start!! Or with Hughton, a mild threat.
-
Utter pile of wank from us. But sadly we're not going down, mattis. Soz lyk.

Jeez... 'I'm not betting for a while' she says... 'I should give it a rest' she says. SPINELESS! Not that I'm going to Coral tomorrow.... .....

Any more tips for the weekend? Sunderland-Pool draw would seem a good one if you're going for a more audacious bet.
-
yep, ridiculous. Typically biased publication tbh. On a side note, I was discussing Rooney the other day with a mate and I honestly can't remember of a time he played well in a really big game. Champions League finals, FA Cup finals, games vs Liverpool or Chelsea. Strange that everyone thinks he'll win England the world cup single handed. Because we're desperate to convince ourselves we have a good chance - and I don't mean that cynically, because I think we do have as good a chance as anyone. So, naturally we look towards our best forward. Would be unfair to put that scale of pressure on the lad, though.

Perhaps not a dynasty yet but my word, Zinedine Zidane's son, Enzo, looks like he's going to be mint. There's a YouTube video I can't be arsed to search for with clips of him, and it's startling how much his style reminds you of his dad's.

Shame you didn't implement David Stockdale's 'fox in the box' mentality more effectively.
