yep, ridiculous. Typically biased publication tbh. On a side note, I was discussing Rooney the other day with a mate and I honestly can't remember of a time he played well in a really big game. Champions League finals, FA Cup finals, games vs Liverpool or Chelsea. Strange that everyone thinks he'll win England the world cup single handed. Because we're desperate to convince ourselves we have a good chance - and I don't mean that cynically, because I think we do have as good a chance as anyone. A draw or win puts the Argies into the playoffs. A Uruguay win would get them it. Ecuador (away to Chile) can sneak in if the two above draw and they win by six goals. A draw or Argie win gives them the last automatic place, a Uruguay win puts the Argies in the playoff place. If the Argies lose and Ecuador win then Argies are out altogther. Really? Does it go down to head-to-head or something?
