There's only Martin Hardy who's massively jumped the gun, but he's shite anyway.

Dominic Calvert-Lewin (playing for Leeds United)

To maintain a squad that competes for trophies and European qualification, we need players for the here and now. However, the substantial recruitment drive of players, scouts and coaches across youth level suggests that developing talent is going to be a priority. We won't see the fruits of that for at least a couple of years though.

The Ramsey, Thiaw and Ramsdale deals have all been pretty swift after the story breaking.
-
Do we think we go for another midfielder?
-
He'll do Willock's previous role.
-
The club obviously believe it is.
-
Alternative framing: we're buying a player from a rival who they Ordinarily wouldn't sell, who significantly raises the floor of the squad and gives us a genuine alternative to Joelinton. Completely agree with the injury concerns like.
-
We obviously believe Ramsey is a better fit.
-
Miley would cover any injury to RCM you'd imagine.
-
I'd wager we prefer Ramsey to El Khannouss due to his physicality.
-
Get the striker situation sorted and the squad is looking much, much stronger.
-
Plays the same role as Ramsey, can't see it.
-
Stylistically he's very similar to Willock, but he's better in most departments other than that explosive turn of pace.
-
I'd imagine if it wasn't for his injury record, it'd be overwhelmingly positive. It's definitely a concern, but you've got to trust the club has done it's due diligence.
-
I assume that's why we looked at El Khannouss.
-
A total package of £40 million is more reasonable than I was expecting.
-
A four year deal is rare in the modern PSR age.
-
To be fair, he only signed yesterday. It's not that slow.
-
Does anyone associated with the club know what "imminent" means?
-
Have we just discovered you can pay for PR?
