It was only recently reported that he's absent on medical leave. It's negligent that the board haven't found an interim solution until his full time replacement is found. No wonder we feel like a rudderless ship.

Do we think Liverpool may not have been expecting Isak's reaction? They unsettled him, were told "not for sale", moved on and bought Ekitike, then Isak played his hand. It would explain why they haven't moved yet.

I don't think anyone is saying the recruitment team is above criticism. It's quite the opposite at the moment

I agree, it's an underwhelming signing, but the hyperbole is in overdrive. Especially for what might end up being a stop-gap. You'd think after our recruitment team have made folk look daft over and over, we'd reserve at least a bit of judgement, even if we have our reservations about a signing.
