To be fair, regardless of how this season goes, I wouldn't be shocked to see one of the crown jewels leave in the summer to persue bigger things and/or help us fund a rebuild, but I doubt it'll be more than one and it wouldn't follow that next season is an automatic write off.
-
It'd definitely hold off just long off for us to lose the League Cup final to Liverpool.
-
He also said the season could fizzle out AND we could lose our best players AND next season could be a write off. Sure it's not impossible, but it seems like a slippery slope of worry. There's also loads of other scenarios that could play out, positive and negative.
-
It's incredibly hyperbolic, based on the absolute worst case scenario.
-
Next season might even turn into a relegation scrap. What if Howe walks? What if the Saudis sell up? We may as well dissolve the club.
-
They still haven't amended the rules.
-
He's now reporting said issues/non-issues have been resolved.
-
He did. The club have been briefing no incomings for a while though, can hardly come as a shock.
-
If only the club had communicated incomings would be unlikely since December time.
-
With Barnes, Wilson and now Joelinton out, we look very thin on the ground in the final third.

We usually look comfortable playing on the counter, it could well be how we set up. -
Now that's a sexy transfer.

I think we'll do it, but it'd be absolutely typical if Spurs take out Liverpool and we get knocked out. -
What an absolute knee slapper.
-
Villa's business is very punty. Relatively risk-free short terms deals with a high upside. It makes a lot of sense in their position, with the demands of the Champions League.
-
If he can stay clear of injury, he'll do well over there. His fitness record has always been the concern.
-
£40 million would be about right.
-
I wonder if we have another go in the summer.

We've played a very similar game plan v Arsenal two years in a row now. No real reason to deviate from that. Concentrate from set pieces and we should be alright. -
Lovely, the reinvention of history is underway.
