  1. Selfish from Mitoma, should have squared it
  2. Actually, wasn't in this thread but the worst post back in January 2022 was this one
  3. I mean I didn't want to pick on anyone as it wasn't an isolated thing and plenty of posts can be quoted but the lack of patience from some of the fans at the time was infuriating
  4. But we'd beat Man-U if it came to that between us, though I don't think it will
  5. He's incredible and it's class how he's unanimously adored but my guilty pleasure is to read from page 560 as a reminder it wasn't always this delightful, a fair number of people had turned on him
  6. Goals scored and then head to head
  7. Ronaldo also got done for tax evasion but I mostly hear it used as a stick to beat Messi with Then again Ronaldo has done far worse than that so I guess tax evasion is mild in comparison
  8. For anyone that is "worried", just ask yourself a simple question, would you swap positions with Liverpool or Brighton? I suspect everyone would answer no without hesitation, which tells you what a lovely position we are in
  9. West Ham haven't had a lot of the ball but he's looked good
  10. City not looking great so far, I fancy West Ham to get something from this
  11. City with a lot of the ball but not looking remotely threatening
  12. City and Fulham win (or even draw) would do nicely But not expecting Fulham to even get close to a point, Liverpool will easily deal with them
  13. Not to get involved in the classic age debate but he's 29 in a few days, though I didn't realise he was on such a relatively low wage I just assumed being Chelsea he was on silly money, if that's the case then I'd say it's a no brainer
  14. Kovacic is not crap, he's excellent at carrying the ball forward and even in playing progressive passes I suspect though we'll be targeting players that are younger and likely to command less wages than him
  15. Chelsea are so shite they are just playing Arsenal into form
  16. He should get a ban and if it was most other managers it would be nailed on This is where having lots of Liverpool sympathisers in the media helps as they aren't scathing towards him acting like a prick
  17. Leicester are lucky they don't have Ward in net, they'd be losing if they had him
  18. So we want a Coventry and Millwall win on the final day Or a Sunderland draw/loss would just make it easier I guess
  19. Missed it at the match and the highlights didn't show it but what was Joelinton booked for? He's now on 12, needs to be careful to avoid getting to 15
  20. Potentially but if Liverpool win all their remaining games then that GD could be negated, they've shown they are capable of handing out a thrashing Just got to hope if they are winning then it's only by a single goal like their last 2 matches
  21. I would love for us to sign him, since we've been linked I've watched him a few times He's not just a sitting midfielder, he's quite dynamic so would give us options to play about that midfield rather than someone who would just sit as a pure 6
  22. Admittedly I've not followed the discussion from the start so might have missed something but Grealish was 26 when he joined City, he was underwhelming in his first season and it's only now that he's started to really play well and at the level he was expected to In comparison 21 is nothing and Gordon's experience has mostly been battling relegation so not a positive experience
  23. Not sure I agree with those saying he was by far the bets player in the first half, you don't be by far the best and get taken off at half time (he ended the half on the right so Murphy could have been taken off if Gordon was that good) I thought he did okay in moments and should have scored/assisted with the chances he had Overall I'd say he's been okay, nothing special but anyone writing him off is being very hasty, Howe has barely worked with him so only fair to give him that opportunity. We often see with Pep/City how players (especially attacking players) don't start to play at their best until the second season and I don't see this being any different If this time next year Gordon is as he is now then I'd be concerned
  24. I thought he was still good in the first half, even if he was poor for their goal, was always in space to receive the ball Second half like a few games he really stepped it up and was really good The skill he did right at the end to lift it over the Southampton player was lush, though annoyingly the highlights missed it out (If anyone has a link to it then please share)
  25. Well, in this doom and gloom scenario they just really need to batter one team (plausible) and we will lose more games than we win so our GD will take a knock It would have been nice for them to drop points today and would be nice they drop some in their next two fixtures but I'm not expecting that to be the case Ultimately we know what we need to do to finish ahead of them and that's what we need to focus on
