If they stay up will there be a penalty imposed anyway or was that can kicked down the road?

It sounds like they are going to avoid any punishment but they will be massively limited as to what they can spend in the summer, obviously relegation would just compound the issue

  2. To me signing Targett makes sense, it's such a no brainer based on his performances and the reported fee.

However if Howe has seen something in his game that means he doesn't want to sign him permanently then I have no issues with that, I think Howe has earned himself the right to make judgments on players and we have to trust him.

Having said that, I'd be surprised if Howe didn't want him and I wouldn't pay too much attention to that article, there's a lot of assumptions in it and some serious stretching.

People may think they are prepared to give him time now, but come January/February next year if Man Utd are not playing well and sitting bottom half of the table I guarantee the vast majority will be singing a different tune. He will have to have some level of success to keep his job even while rebuilding the club.

There's absolutely no chance Man-U will be bottom half

Even a shocking season and they'll be comfortably top half

Only Liverpool and City are guaranteed top 4 next season, that will then leave 2 spaces up for grabs and I reckon Ten Hag can have them challenging for that

  4. I think Ten Hag is their best appointment since Fergie and he's come in now at a decent time, they've tried the really big names (Mourinho, Van Gal) and the local hero (Solskjaer) and it hasn't worked out

Ten Hag is a quality coach and I think given time he will improve them, the only question mark is how patient will the club be with hi? If he doesn't get top 4 in his first season they need to still give him time, Liverpool finished 8th in Klopps first season and there was no danger of him being sacked.

I do hope I'm wrong and that it falls apart because well it would be funny

Not to mention that it was pretty much a fairytale ride the time he was there. Absurd that he kept them competing

in the top division for so long.

And if goal line technology worked they could have stayed up on GD as that point Villa could was pivotal

Which fuckers said that Eddie couldn’t organise a defence. What a bloke one of the biggest salvage jobs in PL history.

Probably the same doylem that made that absurd comment about going from Bruce to Howe is like going from a 40inch TV to a 42inch TV
