The fact they are willing to invest on a short term basis is lovely to see They could easily say why bother and we'll just go big on a new facility which will take 5+ years
-
That comment of his about no player turning us down because of the training ground sums up how thick and short sighted that ownership/management was
-
In isolation it makes no sense because he is average and gets injured a lot but I'm going to trust Howe and the clubs judgement on this, they've done enough so far to earn that. I suspect we'll be able to make a proper judgement at the end of the window as to whether it makes sense. If for example they want to limit the number of transfers we do by focusing on quality, it makes sense to keep someone that is happy to be 3rd choice and can operate in two positions. I think the club want to sign 3-4 real quality players, then a few young potentials. Keeping Dummett around isn't that big of a deal if is the case.

Howay Frankfurt, I need you to win
-
How on earth has the ref given the ball to Rangers there?
-
Need Frankfurt to beat Rangers in the final
-
Rangers score, ffs
-
That helps the Mackems, if they get past Sheff Wed then Wycombe is the easier tie Dislike MK Dons so them losing is not a bad thing
-
Get in, lovely finish by N'kunku
-
Can't see Leipzig scoring and think Rangers will win the whole thing
-
I want Rangers to get knocked out because the worst football fan I know is a Rangers fan, he's a massive bellend when it comes to football, he has an irrational hatred for Newcastle so logically I no longer stand them and need them to get knocked out

Losing their shit over Sam Fender is my favourite
-
Alan Smith was crap and it was such an awful signing, it's one of those that wasn't even based on hindsight, the majority of people knew he was going to be shit and that's exactly what he was and some
-
The only one I agree with is the Laporte sending off but that's more on the VAR to get involved and make the right decision In terms of Casemiro, of course he doesn't make the other fouls but then that means Foden etc are through and in decent positions so it had an subtle impact on the game
-
Aye, they just looked beaten even though they had 30 mins left Though we've seen Real do this to PSG and Chelsea already, City was the most dramatic but I've never known a run like it Liverpool will beat them with ease though
-
I agree, what happened last night isn't on the ref but City just lost it Not even sure it was a tactical issue, that screamed weak mentality to me coupled with Real having this insane level of belief
-
I don't think the ref necessarily got any big calls wrong The failure to book Casemiro was baffling
-
It is terrifying Reading that thread, the amount of people making that claim and with such conviction too is frightening, I wrongly presumed that there would be something of substance to support the claim but so far nowt

They seem to be going on about us voting to relegate Gateshead, any legitimacy in this? Or is it another one of those where they repeat something enough that they all start believing it to be true

Manchester City vs. Newcastle United - 8/5/22 @ 4:30pm (Sky Sports)

I think we'll get a point as they'll be feeling sorry for themselves If however Spurs somehow get something against Liverpool (I very much doubt it) then I think it will be a very different City -
The only downside to that is it probably means Liverpool do the quadruple
-
Yeah but this is an accumulation now, knocked out by Lyon, then lost a final they were expected to win and then tonight Think it will hurt them this time
-
That's what I'm hoping too And this is the most brutal of all the times they've been knocked out (takes over the Spurs one)
-
I think the opposite, I think what happened tonight isn't something you get over quickly and that will impact them in the league Whether it affects them enough in our game I'm not sure but absolutely even more convinced that Liverpool will win the league now That was a devastating blow to City, you could see it from their reaction once the tie was levelled

I've had an absolute mare like No idea what I was thinking ?? I'll blame it on the game being mental
