  1. Two players make contact. One looks to cheat and throw himself to the ground with an added twirl in mid air. Pathetic.

One puts his leg out to stop the other getting through, it wasn't a coming together.

Just because he went down easily doesn't negate the contact, are we going to start measuring the force of the contact or something?

He only went down after the contact and spun in the air for effect

There was not enough contact to bring him down hence it was a dive and rightly not given as a penalty

  2. So it's taken 20 odd million and a record breaking transfer for Ayoze to finally do his lightning-quick turn on the halfway line again! For the first time in about 3 years he looks interested again. Absolutely brilliant today and deserved his goal. Lovely finish.

That's not true since he was very good towards the end of last season, was crucial in keeping us up

  3. They'll never ever admit it but Accrington looked the better, more technical side. They knocked it about well and just played around Sunderland for long spells.

Sunderland were a bit more efficient and effective for those 15 mins but offered little before or after that spell. Little between the teams in all honesty.

McGeady said in the post match that Accrington were probably the better side

I meant their fans tbh but fair play to McGeady

Oh aye, the fans won't admit it, they're a delusional bunch though

  5. Fast forwarding now to the last four minutes to see where the extra minute came from.

As for VAR I'm not sure, next season that goal wouldn't stand  but I don't think there's enough to impede the keeper but "there's contact!"?

We made a sub in time-on, which is an automatic 30 second addition. You could see the ref look at his watch in the 94th minute (the commentators mentioned it) and think "one more phase" - perhaps that decision is questionable but the refs union would agree 100% with that decision. The goal went in at 94.37 didn't it? 7 seconds "over".

Whether it's a foul or not, whether Almiron was fouled or not, whether Moutinho should have been on the pitch - these are all different questions. But I don't think we can quibble with the time-on.

No idea how the rules work but our sub took more than 30 seconds, not sure if that can be factored into it

  6. The sub took 20 seconds, the time was past that.

Almiron was fouled in the corner.

    Dubravka was fouled.

Was even a handball by the Wolves player before it went in.

Referee has plenty of opportunity to finish the game before the goal, he had plenty of opportunity to give us a scenario where we would have finished the games off. The referee wanted Wolves to score, that’s all that matters. The fact that he reacted so angrily when Rafa called him out says a lot.

Nah, the sub took longer than that, think it was around 45-50 seconds

Absolute blatant foul on Dubravka though
