I'm sure even before the World Cup he was heavily linked to Man U and fee of around £100m was being mentioned

It's an insane jump considering he only played a handful of games for Benfica

The point wasn't to necessarily analyse Botman's speed or lack of, more how people suddenly backtrack when information changes

Since it's brought up I wouldn't call Botman slow, wouldn't call him quick either, he's just very much in the middle

Just showed the Wigan team/bench to play Man U and I see that scumbag Callum McManaman is still playing 

Can't see them wanting to touch Rugby

Much like Botman was no longer slow after he chose us over Milan I suspect those that wanted Ashworth to do one for being nothing special will also change their tune

According to fotmob, they had 4 touches, whereas we had 28

Schar is easily ahead of Colo

Colo was here for 8 seasons and had probably 3 really good ones (1 of which was in the championship) and he had some horrors too

Schar was class under Rafa and has been class under Howe, he's already had more good seasons and in less time 

Woodgate is a better defender but you have to factor in longevity too, he only had 1 season and whilst he was class it doesn't trump the 3-4 good seasons of Schar 

Chuffed with that, also seems like we are sensible with the contract lengths for older players

Be interesting to see what happens with Lascelles and if he follows shortly with a similar deal

Don't think the split makes any difference

The decision to use wildcard will be based on your squad and whether you feel it's strong enough

I will be using wildcard as I have about 6 players out due to injuries or AFCON/Asia Cup as well as a few other non-performing players 

Guess we are getting Liverpool away next
