AFTV videos appear more levelheaded about the game than the professional pundits. All they the pundits want to talk about VAR and drum up the controversy.

The AFTV vids I watched seem more focused on their shortcomings, while acknowledging that winning away at St. James’ is a hard ask.  Both sides were tired, missed key players, and offered next to nothing going forward.

Looking forward to playing Arsenal over the next few years. Some bad blood brewing between the squads.

Yeah, I've watched a few clips and in a lot of them the main point they have raised is that they didn't create a chance and in general this season their chance creation has dipped

That's exactly why lego head went on his rant, he probably expected to be asked about his team not creating a chance and the reason for it, rather than deal with it he went with deflection

Obviously biased, but it did look to me that Gabriel was leaning forward to head the ball away and Joelinton's push didn't really affect the trajectory of his body. In the end they went with the initial decision on the field, so everyone can gripe, complain and cry all day long about VAR, but in the end all three points of contention were inconclusive, and in that case, it was correct to go with the decision on the field. To me, Havertz should have received a second yellow, and Bruno should have gotten a yellow for his forearm to the head. To me that incident almost looked like he was trying to get past him and use the arm to block him off, but got his head instead. I don't think it was that big a blow in any case so a yellow should have been given, and that would have perhaps calmed him down a bit for the rest of the game. Arsenal didn't lose out on 3 points like they're whining about - at most they missed out on 2 points.

    1 point surely?

  3. I've seen the clip of Ian Wright going on about if they don't have the technology or it's not conclusive enough then they shouldn't give the goal, also seen a few Arsenal fans say this on YouTube

Utterly baffling that they can't grasp the simple concept that the goal was given by the linseman and referee, to then disallow the goal they would need conclusive proof to show it should be disallowed. Not having that doesn't mean you chalk the goal off, that's absurd

Dunno how it works at Newcastle but if the All or Nothing documentaries are anything to go by, they'll have been warned of the risks and the Howe and Murphy will have made the decision

In the post match Howe said Murphy came to see him and they had various discussions with the medical team, putting him back in was a risk but it was a risk he was prepared to take and the medical team were prepared to take

He further said that they potentially knew it could dislocate again, so now he'll get an operation but there was also a chance he could get through it and continue to play

Guess with the bodies we are short on, I get why they took the risk. The recovery period I suspect is the same so they were probably hoping they could get a few games out of him

I don't know why he decided to clatter jorginho every chance he got mind. You'd think he robbed his house or something ?. In my opinion I think it was planned as last year jorginho was man of the match. Put him off his game

Could have been partly not letting him dictate the game and partly wanting to get a booking so he misses Bournemouth rather than Chelsea/Man-UI

Shame, it was good reading and seeing the rage

No doubt, the casual racism would have been on the increase so they have had to shift it

  7. I was definitely among those that thought selling him or at least letting his contract run down made sense, genuinely thought we had left him behind

However he has been really, he still has his limitations but his ability on the ball has improved, which helps when those around him give him an option as well as they are comfortable receiving the ball

When it comes to defending set pieces he's been superb

Shown he is more than capable, reckon he'll get himself a contract extension soon as letting him go for free would be daft

    Cambridge dortmund

So 7 losses in total to 5 different teams

Just the 5 losses in the league and to 3 different teams

He's made our ground a fortress, a stark contrast from when teams used to love coming here because getting a win didn't take much effort

  9. It was a clear red card but convinced VAR didn't get involved as deep down they knew Havertz should have went

I also don't think he does that if Havertz is rightly sent off, not only was there no sending off the ref made it worse by booking 3 of our players and then Bruno was just raging and wanting to knack someone

A yellow card was coming at some point, the actual yellow was a joke but if I had to pick a game for him to miss out of the next 3 it would have been Bournemouth as he'll be needed against Chelsea and Man-U

  10. He is just ridiculously good, when Botman is back I would like to see them interchange during games because it really opens up some of the passing options for him

He's criminally underrated, even amongst some of our fans but certainly among football fans in general (In a whatsapp group with fans of different teams I was laughed at for putting him in my team of the season so far, bunch of doylems don't have a clue)

  11. He bottled the Havertz sending off and VAR did nothing to help

He then compounded things by booking three of our players and as a result he set the tone of the match, that was completely on him

Bruno should have been sent off (not bothered since Havertz wasn't) but I reckon VAR doesn't intervene as they know Havertz should have gone

As for the goal, don't envy the officials, there was a lot to unpick, just glad it was in our favour

  12. Their match thread on us hasn't been parsnipped yet, made for delightful reading

They thought the Havertz tackle was funny and it was hilarious how 3 of our players got booked, they were delighted

Then they were raging because Bruno didn't get sent off, they started to question VAR (ironically they didn't question it for the Havertz tackle)

Then the goal, the rage went to a level we've never seen before, the same VAR that didn't send off Havertz was now corrupt and we've paid them, etc etc and we are shite and jammy

Loved reading it because I can sense the hurt and long may it continue
