You think Fenway and Levy are bothered about human rights ? It’s been a closed shop amongst the big 6 the yanks couldn’t give a shit about human rights.

You give them way to much credit.

Aye, there's not a chance these owners care about human rights

In fact, wouldn't be surprised if they clamour for Saudi money in their other businesses

Do the rest of the 'other 14' clubs not see how these rules could also restrict them, and further cement the top 6 clubs hoovering up all the success in England? This is dressed up as putting a stop to Newcastle, but it's actually putting a stop to anyone closing the gap to the top.

If someone with extreme wealth bought Luton tomorrow how long would it take for the owners to grow their commercial revenue and financial fair play limits organically? Far too long for them to even bother trying. There shouldn't be anything wrong with an owner putting their own company on the front of a shirt or sponsoring whatever else they want as long as its not something ludicrous like £100m a season for naming rights of Kenilworth Road. We're closing the barn door after the top 6 horses have bolted. They've abused the rules for years to put themselves lightyears ahead of the rest of the country and now 13 clubs are going to help them stay there.

Yeah, it seems a lot like Turkeys voting for Christmas

But more fool them, all they can do is slow us down but not really stop us

As an example, our sleeve, main shirt and manufacturer was worth approx £15m per season whereas from next season it will be if reports are accurate £72m

And then you add in all the other smaller stuff like hair bloke, Saudia etc etc

That’s the wrong decision from VAR, isn’t it? I thought it was only if it was the goalscorer that handled it, that it gets ruled out? Hence why it was irrelevant whether or not it hit Joelinton’s arm

    against Arsenal.

Might be totally wrong, mind and it’s still funny.

I assume deliberate handball is still a factor, so if the officials believe MacAllister has deliberately handled it then it should still be disallowed

Whereas the rules are if you accidentally handle it, you yourself can't score but a team mate can

  4. However I'm well aware Southgate doesn't pick on form, it's based on familiarity and players he likes

I'm gutted for Gordon because his form deserves to have been rewarded but I'm actually happy he'll get a 2 week rest, we've got a busy period after the Internationals

The match incidents have been reviewed by the 5 man panel of the PL “Key incidents review” team. Outcome was:

All 5 thought that Havertz should have been sent off.

3 thought Bruno should have been sent off, 2 didn’t.

All agreed that VAR couldn’t have said the ball was out of play, and also all agreed that it couldn’t have been given offside.

4 believed it wasn’t a foul by Joelinton, 1 believed it was.

That's exactly how I saw all the incidents, both red cards and a legitimate goal

Surprised 2 didn't think Bruno should have been sent off, it's a clear red card

Maguire knew just as little about it as the Copenhagen defender. They were both ridiculous, as was the one given against Eriksen when we played Bayern.

The reason the one you conceded was less ridiculous is because Maguire is facing the ball with his arm out, looks more like he's ready to grab the player which is not natural and he's taking a risk

It's not intentional and it's a scramble so he hasn't really denied an opportunity at that stage which is why I don't like it and the law should be amended

EDIT: Checko gave a for more comprehensive and detailed explanation

Is it just me, or does that not look like Sven?

I did think it kinda does look like him and doesn't too

However checking his Instagram (clearly I've got nowt better to do) he does own a pair of those trainers

The way it's worked out Man U could still easily get through - their chances are far better than ours. They seemed to be writing them off last night. They're only a point behind second place, and they have two games left. They could easily get something from Gala, who I don't think are the greatest, and then they're at home to Bayern, who are already through and who won't field a full strength side.

I think it's because at home to Galatasaray they deservedly got beat, that's a side doesn't travel well, at home Galatasaray is a tough game

At home Galatasaray created loads of chances against Bayern and were unlucky to lose that game really

And if they lose to them then it's done and dusted so playing Bayern's C or D team will be irrelevant (even a draw won't be good as it takes it out of their hands)
