I understand that, but Muniz wasn't marking Garnacho. It's just a very thin line of what constitues interfering with play.
You look at this decision and then look at the Akanji one and I think the latter is far more clear cut, yet it was given.
Muniz marking Garnacho is irrelevant, his ability to clear the ball was impacted by an offside player, it's clear cut to me
I agree the Akanji goal was a joke

I'm still not sure on our disallowed goal. Yes Maguire is offside, but Muniz is marking him and not Garnacho. Maguire doesn't impact the phase of play which led to the goal. If Muniz was marking Garnacho and Maguire impeded him then sure, but Muniz wasn't getting anywhere near Garnacho.
Find it quite a tricky one as almost every phase of play will have someone being man-marked by an opponent.
Don't know how Havertz wasn't sent off either and how there isn't more talk about it. He lunged at him. Clear dangerous play.
I thought it was the correct decisions
Is Maguire in an offside position? Yes
Does he impact Muniz's ability to play the ball? Yes
It's quite clear unless I'm missing something

This is verbatim from the FA rule book.
"A player is in an offside position if:
any part of the head, body or feet is in the opponents’ half (excluding the halfway line) and
any part of the head, body or feet is nearer to the opponents’ goal line than both the ball and the second-last opponent
The hands and arms of all players, including the goalkeepers, are not considered. For the purposes of determining offside, the upper boundary of the arm is in line with the bottom of the armpit.
A player is not in an offside position if level with the:
second-last opponent or
last two opponents"
So if you are behind the ball, you can't be offside (see above). If you're behind the ball and it is played towards you, the ball has necessarily gone backwards. So you can't be offside if the ball goes backwards.
If you are behind the ball you can't be offside, that is true but the direction of the ball is irrelevant, you can be offside if the ball goes backwards
It's absolutely rare you see this as it's quite unique but the main example I can think of is the Harry Kane goal against Sporting last season that was disallowed, despite Emerson heading the ball backwards it was disallowed as Kane was in an offside position

We beat Man U away with our B team man,we’ll be fine.
I'm not worried about the Man-U game
It's the Spurs game and I actually wouldn't say I'm worried, I just don't think it's one I'd say with confidence we'd win, as they are a good side and are in great form

I don't really understand this, but doesn't that currently have Italy and Germany in the lead? Assuming Turkey and Belgium don't make the cut... I think the rankings are based only on this season's performances, with nothing previously taken into account.
That's right, it is only this season so as things stand we won't get it
However as the season goes on we likely will move up the ranking

Damn, thought they were going to nick it
Kabore should have pulled it back instead of shooting
-
All because Nakamba couldn't clear the ball properly
-
Damn, they'll win this now
-
Our game which had a really long VAR stoppage had 8 mins, how is this the same?
-
Superb counter attack
-
Get in, this is class
Howay lads, huge 25 mins to hold on
-
I think he's offside

Liverpool have looked quite average so far (no doubt they'll still go on to win this game)

Nunez getting two chances and clinically finishing both of them will never happen in a game of football again.
Apart from the next time we play them

Mengi lucky to avoid a booking

Getting 15 from the next 5 is a tough ask, especially as they are part of a congested fixture list and the injuries we have
I think 10-12 would be a very good return, obviously 15 would be ridiculous

Lockyer told to go off the pitch as he was tying his laces yet Ref yesterday paused the gane to let Rice tie his

the goal controversy was VAR at its best.
quick check of each issue - nowt clear and obvious - no need to re-referee the game - goal stands.
Though according to some Arsenal fans because there were 3 checks it should increase the chance of not giving the goal
Doylems not realising, each issue gets checked and treated on it's own, you can't add them up to justify disallowing it

Not sure if it was fixed but they made a grave mistake awarding that to him.
I find it laughable when people say it's fixed
It's based on votes and obviously some of those that vote will make some mad choices
Martinez was obviously influenced by the World Cup, was good in the shoot outs and then THAT save, that's obviously what those that vote remembered

Would have been much easier and safer to wave an imaginary card late on
And miss out on the opportunity to clatter someone?

Behave, that's never offside man

Get in, 2-0
Dodgy keeping from Martinez

I thought that for the one before the potential penalty.
Aye, looked clearly onside yet the linesman blew immediately

Shame he's offside as that would be a penalty otherwise
