Kane is an outstanding footballer, he’ll score goals until his legs drop off and he’s one in the top five passers in the league. He’s had an amazing individual career and everyone will remember that irrespective of whether he wins anything or not
However, rightly or wrongly, if he ends his career without a single bit of silverware it will always be mentioned alongside what a brilliant player he was
The fact he wanted to leave when City were interested indicates it's something that will bother him

Bamford is quite comfortably the worst suggestion I've ever seen in this thread
If we were a Championship side I wouldn't want him let alone the European powerhouse we are on the verge of becoming
-
I think it will be Joelinton, Bruno and Anderson
Howe has trusted Anderson in enough moments that a home game against Leicester where only a point is needed he'll play him without hesitation
In terms of the game Leicester will not be looking to play out from the back, any chance they get the ball they'll launch it forward optimistically
We've just got to pin them back and get enough people in and around the box

Any idea why BT don't have a clock/score for the Gateshead game?

Lovely finish from Haller that

Get in, Dortmund score

This is Dortmund, they'll find a way to bottle it
Currently doing a good job of bottling it, 0-0 against 10 men, still have about 30 mins left

Chelsea could play all evening and they'll not score
-
That has to be disallowed
-
Awful game, might have been somewhat decent if Chelsea weren't utter shite

am i right in saying villa need to beat Brighton to comfirm Europe? and spurs have no chance
Brighton GD is far superior so unlikely Villa go above them
Spurs need to win and hope Villa lose to get a Europa Conference League spot, Spurs have no chance for Europa League

Just a player for whom Howe arrived to late to save. Clearly talented and could be a difference maker as we saw under Rafa.
But he was just too willing to coast along when the coaching was bad and rarely took the initiative to improve his own situation.
He was quite a key player in that run in the second half of last season
He just got unlucky to have got injured this season and was surplus to requirements
Think Howe would have kept him if he could but the Forest deal was too good to turn down

That unexpected win at Brighton is is ultimately what will have saved them

If that is indeed the case, he would need to get 290 minutes out of possible 360 minutes in the last 4 games (if they win the cup semifinals, otherwise they play only 3 games and its impossible for him to reach it). Would be very smart of him to pick up an "injury" before the last game if it will still be possible to reach the minute threshold.
Or he could play as many minutes so his club get a few more quid for him, leaves in an honorable way and the buying club still get a talent for a reasonable fee

Strongest argument against signing Szoboslai is that no one can spell his name correctly.
you didn’t even notice that I spelled it incorrectly just now.
A lot of our fans struggled with Burn and Wood so got nee chance with this lad

Rumours suggest he has rotated massively today
I guess it's only Chelsea today, could probably beat them with about 8 players

Congratulations to Man City. Guessing they will rotate massively in last two league games with two finals to play so best get this in now…
Who was it again on here who said they were incapable of putting a winning run together during Chelsea away match? ?
They have 3 games left but I'm not sure they'll rotate that much because Pep is huge on having winning momentum, he'll want to go to the 2 finals in the best form
As for the comment, that was me. The way they were playing in January I just couldn't see this run coming but even as a Pep fan I underestimated his ability to make significant tactical changes mid season
The way he's done this run with mostly just playing CB's at the back has been remarkable really
I also think the FFP charges had a positive psychological effect on their team, since he came out fighting in that press conference he created a siege mentality and they haven't lost since then
But all the waffle aside I was wrong and couldn't have been more wrong.

If we do get the result we need tomorrow, I don’t think Eddie will change his plans, we have the chance to be the only team to be unbeaten in London for a long time and he will want that record
No doubt Howe will want to win the final game of the season but I don't think he risks anyone that is a slight doubt, if Bruno has been playing through injections/painkillers as we suspect then there's no chance I'd want us to play him if we've already got CL secured

From the 25 squad we have 4 players out of contract (Dummett, Ritchie, Karius and Gillespie)
Assuming they don't get an extension, that's 4 spaces available, 1 of which Gordon will take as he's now 22 at the
Which leaves 3, presumably 2 of which will be for keepers unless we are happy with any young keepers we have, so that leaves 1 space before it's a case of players being sold/sent on loan
Of the players we should be looking to sell/loan
Fraser
Lewis
Krafth or Manquillo
Possibly Lascelles
So that's 4 more spaces, which gives 5 in total for any signings above 21 years old which is more than enough to give us a solid squad

Makes no odds, Gillespie, given how many British players we have. We’d be miles better off trying to get Krul back, as I’m not sure Forster would be an option.
Good point, for some reason I assumed HG included a lot of deadwood but it doesn't

If it's between Karius and Gillespie, then Gillespie has to go. If he couldn't get in ahead of Karius for the Cup Final, then he's never going to play.
Gillespie helps with homegrown for the CL squad though
Unless the plan is to get Krul/Forster as they are club trained too

We could end up finishing closer to Arsenal than Arsenal could to City

There were reports suggesting it will come in for the start of next season but had a quick check and there is nothing definitive about it
Seems mad not to introduce it considering it worked very well at the World Cup and works well in the CL
