I work in Agile but only my department. The rest of my company doesnt. Agile has its annoyances but the concept of getting away from management tripe is a good one. Going in to meetings with other departments and managers is a fucking nightmare. Full of 'action points', 'point of contacts', 'agendas' etc. There is one guy who is literally like that management talk superhero comic someone posted on here.

Im amazed anyone expects or has expected any info to come out of many sources on twitter or local journos. Have you seen twitter and read local papers? 99.99% of both of them are tripe. Everyday. Theres going to be a handful of people in the entire world know any details about any if this at this stage and before. Thats not going to be anyone covering local football until a late stage when more info is released or one person who gets some insider knowledge. Of course they aint getting any inside stories. They were never and are never likely to.

Some really telling posts in here, I think what we can all take from things like this is that most of us are not okay. And its both scary and comforting how normal that is. For a football chat forum based in the North East, predominantly male, i think that says a lot. Chances are most of us are in a similar situation one way or another or at the very least we can all relate in some way. Anyway. Im a stranger to most, so if anyone wants to send a PM to get anything off their chest and have someone none judgemental to be an ear, please feel free. Just get in touch. Dont even have to reply. Heartening to read this as a recovering alcoholic when so much else of the thread is ill informed, insulting, heartless and brainless bullshit. Honestly it's been a painful read, seeing some of the very strong "opinions" that we're up against, as well as an exasperating and often crippling mental illness. I'm 3 and a bit years sober but often the easiest way to stay that way is to disengage with much of the world, as there are judgemental people all over just dying to tell you their "opinion" on stuff they know nowt about. My sobriety doesn't make me any better than Gazza, I could drink any day but if I did I wouldn't have to put up with knackers up and down the country pointing their finger and making their judgement on my situation. And this is not a pop at people like Bimpy who have had a real life experience of alcoholics close to them being destructive and putting their next drink, i.e. Feeding their addiction, ahead of everything else. I know that's what happens as I was getting to the stage of doing the same to everyone around me before I was lucky enough to be able to draw on various resources and stop. But anyone trying to make this a black and white issue without any understanding of the illness that I and many others live with can absolutely get f***ed. Big love, man.
