  1. 2 strikers up top and balls from the wings get us a goal. Who'da thunk it.
  2. Aint no 4-4-2 with Jones at LB, interesting line up. I don't think Jonas will be LB... I'm only just seeing this all, so could be completely wrong, but my assumption is that Perch will be LB. You are completely wrong
  3. Well, at least RvP (vice) is my captain now with Young not getting on. It does mean I'm relying on Shaun Derry for some midfield points, mind.
  4. FFS. Knew Wolves would get a tanking today. Young would have had a fucking field day. EDIT: Oh cunt off. Young's my Captain? Who the fuck did that?! I didn't do that! Cunts.
  5. SJA have 'Community Responders' and are on a big push to get more volunteers to take it up as well as teaching CPR in schools. The Community Responders have a defrib, oxygen etc at home, and are often Doctors or GP's anyway, but if a 999 call comes in they can get round to the person's house or where ever quicker to resuscitate the patient before the Paramedics get there. I'm sure it's also part of the driving test/license in Germany. May be in France too.
  6. Slightly off topic as him possibly suffering brain damage is just speculation. Anyway over the last month (I'm sure you all know what I'm on about) I have learnt that legally if the heart can be revived then that is classed as life and only when the chances of the heart recovering is it ok for a Dr to call it a day despite what injuries may happen to the brain. I sincerely don't know what you're talking about - but from my foggy LLB days, is life legally not defined as brain stem activity in the UK? My understanding is that if is heart stopped for any significant length of time, his brain would be deprived of oxygen and that could possibly lead to brain damage (as Dave posts suggests). Due to the fantastic/speedy response by the various medical teams, I don't think that would have been an issue though. IIRC if you have no oxygen for 6/7 minutes+ then it might be a risk. As Cat says though, all a bit futile speculating as we don't know his medical history, the specific of what has happened etc. Just have to hope he pulls through okay. In practise unfortunately not. It's actually shocking at how severe your injuries can be and legally (I use the following word loosely) "life" must attempted to be preserved. I think you're talking about the same thing here, are you not? Beren's right I'm canny certain. Life is determined by brain stem activity, so therefore if you're not 'brain dead' you're 'alive'. Meaning that a patient can suffer horrific brain injuries and will still be resuscitated/kept alive (LSS).
  7. No chance that'll happen IMO. Will cost a bit now, like.
  8. it seems to be getting longer all the time thast the brain can go without oxygen and we don't know exactly when he started getting oxygen in again. can only hope. It seems they started CPR on the pitch, though I didn't see it. Hopefully that coupled with the oxygen administered means they were able to ensure his brain was oxygenated.
  9. Reminds me of when I went to see Leeds-Swindon in the FA Cup about 8 years ago when Paul Robinson scored a belting header.
  10. Balls high into Dzeko is what they're needing now
  11. City don't have a chance in hell of scoring another 2
