Finally transferred Salah out, naturally. I can’t do this to save my life.
-
Ah bollocks, looks like I'll lose by one point after Kasper gets to sub somebody in.
-
I was saved by my forwards, but Salah has hurt me badly overall.

It's one of football's most endearing and enduring mysteries. We all moan and whine, but somehow Everton outdo us all, year after year, especially at referees.

Feel like the whole forum is like this now. Even after a game the player threads for almost every player would be bumped before with comments on them and loads of debate. Nobody really cares that much anymore it seems and you can't blame them If I feel like this as a Spurs fan, God only knows how you guys feel - particularly the older ones. I'm more excited by the NFL season, which is some kind of indictment.

I really feel like my interest in football is at an all time low. Not a comment on this game , but I just don't seem to care at all any more.

Well all four of them are very different types of player . I’d say Alli is like Lampard tbh. We def need a Scholes and/or a Carrick though.

Henderson did a decent job at the World Cup. I know he's a bit limited, but I think he's getting a raw deal. You need somebody of that ilk in there, we just don't have anyone like that who's good enough on the ball at the top top level. Harry Winks (don't laugh), when fit, is really good at wanting the ball, taking it ball under pressure and distributing it intelligently. We do need somebody like that, but it would be nice to have a bit more muscle. Alli might evolve into that player, but he's definitely not there yet, if he gets there at all. Definitely more of a Lampard. My concern with Shelvey - and I stress I haven't seen much of him in the last couple of years - is that he regularly seemed to have periods where he faded from the play, which in his position is a real issue. I also have reservations about his ability at the top level, but if we don't try it, we'll never know. We're not exactly blessed at that position.

Week Four Review

Why is it so difficult for me to find live updates of this game? It's on flashscore. I think I realized what I was doing wrong - I didn't look under U-23 in my usual places .

Up against Mane and Robertson FFS. Feel like i’ve lost the week after just 10 mins of one game.
-
Wow. Compare and contrast Group B with Group D. Couldn't have been tougher, but at least we avoid long trips.
-
Anyone see the Rangers red?
-
Interesting point, I didn't know that. Poch gave Trippier a bit of a break after his kid was born because he just wasn't sleeping well. I don't know if Rafa has that luxury.

Week Three Review

Absolutely no chance i’m watching that.

That was fun. RedCafe was fun too: It's dull and pointless, but every single time a moneybags manager complains it should be pointed out - his team cost 391M, and his subs cost 97M (ascribing 37M to Mkhi), plus wages=infinity. Our team cost 99M and our subs 33M. Fuck off Jose, just fuck off. Here's the voice of reason:

That's really not that bad - the average is 38. We're also early, before a load of people just give up and drag the average down.
-
Considering I got a grand total of zero points between Richarlison and Aguero, 43pts with three players to go is pretty good.
-
Two assists for Wilson though...
-
Arnautovic off on 59 minutes. Trolling us.
-
I have no idea why I left Walcott on the bench. FFS.

Not a great start for anybody. I could have done with Ozil and Vardy playing, but my Bernardo Silva outscored 54's David Silva, so it could have been worse. At least jonny_sniper hit the buffers - four points in total from Ederson, Mendy, Richarlison, and Aguero is awful, and Mahrez' one point off the bench isn't great in reserve. Mind you, Ketsbaia's not exactly setting the week alight. I was going to say that Kasper might be well-placed, but if Arsenal stays like this he's screwed too .
