We finally win it, pass it a bit, get in advanced positions. Back to Steven Taylor to boot it to their goalie. Quality.
-
Taylor man for fuck sake.
-
Why are four of you standing near the touchline man.
-
Right get up the pitch man. Stop sitting back now, we're in their half.
-
Same every away game. Wijnaldum not in it, cant find him. Cant keep the ball, piss it away long everytime. Cant get Shelvey on the ball.
-
Go on Leicester. Superb.
-
Palace are literally just Zaha. Pardew's pre match talk will be a big arrow pointing at the left wing & then 9 men in their own half.
-
Palace defenders battling it out for top scorer

Id have either, but i still think our issue is more about personnel. If Willian ghosts past Tiote like he's not there & runs at the defence whos going to stop him? You can have him do that to someone else & have Tiote behind that man. But then we're playing defensive & have stacked the midfield as we did at Everton. Its basically up to our defenders up to a certain point & they're not good enough as we know. Mcclarens not our biggest issue for me. He can obviously see basic weaknesses as he signed a playmaker & someone to balance our other wing. So im struggling to believe he see's no defensive weaknesses. He let go of Williamson, proof he has eyesight. We have too many defenders, so they didnt want to sign any. No suprises we've lost Haidara, Mbabu, Dummett, Mbemba & have only just got Taylor back. They wont sign more with these players on the books.

Their perceived injustice at the sending off might help them now (Wasnt a red for me). Certainly wont go easier on the supposed weaker sides if they're pissed off about the last result. Might be a one step back for two steps forward situation. I wasnt that big on them winning till that game. The sending off then Coquelin trying to push Mahrez off the pitch. Last minute Jammy winner & Wenger coming out about beating a "Mental test". They'd have lost the game bar a jammy decision.

I said it in the match thread the other day, people have a go at his pointing. Half the time he's just telling the lad on the ball whos available to pass to based on what he can see, hows that being a dick? Its a bit controlling like, but they dont have to listen to him & ultimately he's attempting to help. Him, Townsend & Sissoko are the least for our issues for me. Thats a very good combination of great passing ability & fast runners on the wings. We should be focusing elsewhere.

It was clearly just to give him a run out and avoid any risks to Mitro's knee. Suppose so, he's barely rated by us then to be filling that role. Unfit & comes on to protect a 21 year old.

I didnt get the Doumbia thing. If you're gonna make that sub, why do it halfway through the half? I mean make your mind up. You either go defensive with Colback & Lascelles, or have a go with Doumbia. 4-0 was the turning point for him to try a striker? Makes no sense.

Only gotta wait till March for our next game, away from home at Stoke woop.
-
Welldone Andros. The rest could learn from him.
-
Think only Townsend, Janmaat have come out of this with any credit really. Townsend mainly has looked a level above at times. Shelvey is good when he has time on the ball, which he hasnt today really.
-
Fairplay Townsend, just won us the ball there chasing shadows
-
If only we'd signed a striker in the transfer window
-
Colback on for Wijnaldum  Ok now i cant offer Mclaren any support. What in the fucking world.

Im really not getting this. Bar the goals, we've not approached this anything like our recent away games. We've done s**** in defence & given the ball away. If anything we've been so exposed specifically because we're attacking more in this match. We're trying to play the ball out slowly from the back and we're not looking to set up our attacks quickly. When Chelsea have the ball we sit off them and let their immensely talented players have space to run at us. Compare that to our home games where we aggressively press and seem to expend much more energy, it just seems like a different approach to me. Maybe I'm just frustrated with our crapness but that's how I feel about it today. This. I'm not sure what Jayson has been watching this season. But home and away, we play like two different teams. Still. Keep making excuses and keep looking for positives. I'm sure our away form might turn around. Maybe our away goal tally will hit double figures before the end of the season Ive not said we dont. But we're not playing today like we did at Everton, is that not apparent? We're just fucking it up for completely different reasons. Im not making excuses, our defenders are awful & we should have replaced them. We all know that.

Still waiting for your reply as to why I was wrong lad. Not like you to make shite statements with no basis atall.

Maybe I'm just frustrated with our crapness but that's how I feel about it today. Think we've just been taken aback by the speed of their pressing. They've been onto Shelvey instantly, so there goes our playmaker. Mitrovic has met his match in Terry in terms of strength so far. After 2-0 they've no need to attack do they, so they just put men behind the ball & counter with their pace. We have no space or time on the ball.
