He owns 50% and pumps money into the club he played for when he was younger.

Very rich owner. Richer than ours? Considerably.

Here: Reid has stood out to me as well, looks like he could play at a decent level. i've watched him a bit for FC Midtjylland and imo he is one of those players who are playing above their level in a major tournament.... there are quite a few better players around in the danish superleague...
-
Correct, somebody said there was much better defenders in Denmark (hence why he went to play for New Zealand instead). Can't remember who though.

West Ham signing Winston Reid for £4 million. Typical World Cup form fleecing that is.

I'm hopeful, he's quickly became one of my favourite players at the club. -
Agents are a cancer to football.

Hmm. I'd get very excited if both we're in our squad come 1st september. aye and rumours are we are still sniffing about djalo aswell.....dare we dream ? That's the thing that annoys me the most. Add 3/4 talented players to our team on top of the half decent ones we've already got and I think we'd comfortably survive, yet penny saving and missing out on them additions and I'd say we're allmost sure fire relegation candidates.

Played with his slippers on tonight. Really hope he has a good season, for his sake and for ours.

He's still done absolutely fuck all to even remotely warrant starting in the Premier League tbh. -
He could be our Cassano, in that sense.

Jumping and guns come to mind. -
Bollocks, you're blowing this way out of proportion. He's positively helped teams to 5 Ligue 1 titles at the age of 23. It's not as if he went round picking fights with everybody in his way you know, you're making him out to be some kind of mental anarchist. 5 teams? He's only been a serious part of two winning teams, and he was hardly a top player for either l'OM or Lyon. Deschamps kept him on the substitutes bench most of the time. He clearly has mental stability issues, but I think this can be overcome. Also, if we buy him for less than 7 million euros, we are probaly selling at a profit. Cleverly will leave and we will have to spend to replace him, which will result in a net loss. Whatever man, he has 5 Ligue 1 titles in his locker and appearences, assists and goals in that time. That already puts him ahead of Cleverley.

Somebody should compile Babatunde's quotes. The man types with such eloquence and I enjoy reading almost everything he posts.

I can't believe having watched us consistently last season and throughout this pre-season people seem to think this squad can get by purely with a happy go lucky team spirit. We desperately need quality players.
-
They would have let him go for free in the summer if this was the case, instead of giving him a new long term contract.

Oh yeah, both would have me hard for weeks.

Regardless of attitudes, I'd have far more faith in Ben Arfa offering us something in the Premier League than i would Cleverely. Plus atleast we'd have a chance of keeping Ben Arfa, and potentiall making profit on him.

Slightly less gash, but still pretty high on the gash scale.
