If it wasn't for DBTheTruth's goals Sunderland would be in a real scrap already.
-
One of the posts from a few pages earlier says Daft cunt. Anfield is dead unless it's a Champions League game that can be wanked over by Clive Tyldsley.
-
They're as good as down either way tbh. I can see Zaki causing more problems than he does score goals though.
-
Really? good move for them i think. Most important thing about being in a relegation scrap is team unity and togetherness. I can see a renowned twat like Zaki ruining any chances of that forming, as decent a player as Zaki is, I can see it being a bigger step towards relegation than away from it.

Would certainly like to see us sign him. We need a right sided player and from what I've seen of him he could tear this division apart with his dribbling ability.
-
He did really well during his loan at the end of last season. Think he's had some bad injury problems this season though, only played a handful of games. Agreed about Englishmen going abroad, should happen far more often than it does.
-
Yep agree there. Playing abroad can only help to develop his game. Twente play good football aswell, 4-3-3 in the typical Dutch style which will certainly suit him better than joining us for example. They have some injury problems at the moment so if the deal comes off he could be thrown in at the deep end as early as Sunday.

Jack Wilshere looks like he's off on loan to Twente.

This only without selling Smith. Think he really does well in his position and is a natural leader. Can't believe how many here would like to sell Nolan. He's probably been our player of the season so far and has played in the Premier League for years so I don't see a problem with him. I also think we can't sell so many players like some on here would like to do as we will never ever buy that many players under Ashley. There will only be very small changes imo. Because apart from his goals he offers very little to the team. Yeah, yeah it sounds ridiculous but it's very true. He's playing the position where it's important he can be actively involved in the middle and look to be the one player to pass and dictate play. He seems a sound guy but apart from his ability (in this division) to take goalscoring positions and convert chances he really does have a negative output on the team, which I have no doubt will stick out embarrasingly for him/us next season - just like it did the back end of lasts season.

Didn't Know you had African roots ..... Oh dear

Gezza starts for Cameroon, playing as some sort of RWB I think. Just megged somebody and forced the keeper into a save from a free kick, but Cameroon are 0-1 down to Gabon. Cousin the scorer.

I'm guessing that's mean to be Tudgay?

Exactly what I was thinking - the parents and grandparents rule won England the Ashes That said, it doesn't always work out that s**** players turn out for second rate nations - sometimes second rate nations lose players to "better" countries thanks to this rule. In the 2006 World Cup, the Croatian team that played Australia contained three Australian-born players (Simunic, Seric and Didiluca) who turned their backs on the country on the land of their birth to play for the "better" nation of their forefathers. Which made kicking them out of the tournament that much sweeter... Seems to be a recurring theme with players from Yugoslav backgrounds. The Swiss lost out on both Petric and Rakitic to Croatia, aswell as Kuzmanovic to Serbia.I seem to remember Rakitic getting a very bad response off the Swiss public because of his switch - his Dad was denied citizenship there and the family recieved threats from Right wing political groups. I guess it's up to them if they want to play for the nation of their 'bloodline' but it does seem very unfair on a country that's funded the development to make them into the players that they are.
-
Crazily enough I can see why he did it tbh. According to the thread he miscalculated and thought he was going to win £440.50... assuming he already had the money in his account and the prospect of picking up what would have surely been free money probably seemed like a good idea

Holy s***

He re-signed for Olympiakos just recently.

2-0 to Angola now. Flavio with both of them.

I take it Sissoko and Keita are injured for Mali, or were they not included for other reasons?

Village Idiot, is Ibra banned for the Tenerife game tonight?

His international form has earned him that, more than his performances in Italy. I don't particularly rate international football at all versus club football, but he's been great for Brazil. Yeah I suppose he's pretty influential for the way Brazil play under Dunga, infact they rely on his availability. I do think that club football should be a more important yardstick for these kind of awards, doing it a handful of games for your country shouldn't be valued higher than doing it all season at club level.

Yeah, looks like Inter are gonna walk the way to the title. A bit boring really. Reckon if Inter win their next game against Bari and then the derby against Milan it's as good as over.

Semis will be available on red button, and the final is on BBC2. For the rest of the games it has to be Eurosport.
