  1. I mean Chelsea's desperation and the lack of strikers on the market has inflated his value, but he's quality.
  2. £2 million for a 34 year old with a year left, take it and run.
  3. Terrifyingly, as things stand, I think Diame will be our first choice #10
  4. Yeah I'd avoid Hernandez personally. I'd pretty much avoid almost anybody West Ham go for.
  5. At the end of the day we're talking right backs. The single most boring position on the pitch. I'd rather just say the better one is the one who can ping a cross in better tbh.
  6. I don't see what Zabaleta has to put him so far ahead of Walker tbh. Even at both player's peaks. Zabaleta was more solid tactically but I think Walker is the better footballer going forward as well as athlete.
  7. Think so after Silva joined, aye. So point stands.
  8. What's his strengths and weaknesses? Don't think I've ever seen him tbh. Jack of all trades really. Good engine and work rate, decent passer, scores the odd goal. Played left mid for Hull but would come inside to let Robertson attack, so I reckon he'd be better in a midfield 3. Don't think he'd ever be a worldbeater but I do think he's the pick of that relegated Hull squad.
  9. Clucas played out wide for Hull but to me he always looked more suited to playing in the middle.
  10. He would have to be really shit to be worse than Anita.
  11. Full-back is an odd position really. I don't think many saw Ryan Bertrand becoming arguably the best left-back in the league when he was dossing around on loan at Villa at 24. If a player has an engine, pace, and is solid technically they can be molded into good modern full-backs/wing-backs with the right coaching on a tactical level.
  12. Danny Rose and Marcos Alonso are former Sunderland full-backs too. Something about them becoming decent after they leave. Of course the difference there is they were both good for Sunderland as well.
  13. I'd rather gamble on Manquillo than Anita, who was proven shite in the Prem. Not happy with this signing really but he might have the attributes to be moulded and improved on in the future.
  14. Adrian is no better than Darlow. West Ham like us have been desperate for a new keeper. Don't just go and sign their shite once they get one.
  15. During Rafa's entire career he's made these weird shite signings, like. Luckily they usually end up having a bit of foresight to the decision to sign them and contribute to competent teams/squads. That or they never really play and just fill a squad place. We could really do with a couple of big, quality signings though. It's getting worrying that we'll have a big squad with little actual quality.
  16. Josemi, Antonio Nunez, Antonio Baragan, David Lopez, Jesus Gamez. Rafa loves signing a shite Spanish plodder tbf.
  17. We need a reliable central midfielder and even more important would be a high quality #10. I'm surprised the links have ran dry in those positions. Earlier in the window it was all about Cairney, Mooy, Pires, Samaris, Acquah etc.
  18. Pulis is not the Stoke manager.
