Aye, fuck wanting a Champions League winner. Dunno like, I wouldn't want Di Matteo. League achievements trump cup ones every time when it comes to appointing a manager tbh. Benitez' greatest achievement is winning two La Liga titles. Plus he Liverpool got 86 points in 08/09, just the 2 defeats all season. Closest they've came to a league title in god knows how long.
