If anybody is bored there's a triple-header on ESPN now. Zenit/CSKA, then Cagliari/Napoli and Parma/Inter.

it's funny either way

Just seen this pop up on my Twitter timeline. "I’m not a manager who looks for a clean sheet, I’m looking for a win" - Roberto Martinez
-
I lived near Stoke when they were promoted and knew Stoke fans who wanted Pulis out of the club before a ball was kicked and I've heard them saying the same thing many times since. Obviously then Mick, these fans you knew are 'deluded' and 'fickle' and of course have an enormous sense of entitlement that means they expect to win da leeg every season. That's obviously the case because they don't like a manager, it can't be for all the perfectly logical and reasonable reasons. Pisses me off this kind of judgement on other fanbases. Apart from when something is totally inexplicable, without comprehension and explanation then I'm willing to take most supporters' word for it on how their manager and team is doing. Like when everybody was up in arms about Lee Clark's sacking except for the Huddersfield fans who watch them every week, or how we hated Allardyce because he was a horrendous fun-vacuum cuntball and instead like Kevin Keegan for some inexplainable reason. I mean, it's not like he saved the club from oblivion, played the best football in the country and is basically the best manager we've had since the 60s. Bad Newcastle fans for worshipping him, bad delooded Newcarstle fans.

Frankly I couldn't give a flying fuck what Stoke fans think. They blissfully enjoy watching their expensively assembled collection of spare parts, aging cloggers and 6 ft plus giants play for binary results every week so it makes sense they'd struggle to grasp our infuriation at watching rank awful football every week. Or maybe they aren't so blissful, when you see their increasingly dwindling away following.

I'm in a foul mood today, and people keep wanting to talk about football. Just feel like ranting! Yeah, there's counter examples tis all.
-
I don't think there's a distinct correlation between the type of player somebody was and the type of manager they become, tbh.
-
I feel sorry for him that he's been sold a lie on our football.
-
Just been tweeting that LeazesTerrace. Struggling to agree with what he's saying, that we need to be tighter defensively and more compact in midfield to stop shipping goals. I think we need another player in the middle since we're just about the only side in the league that plays 2 there but the last thing we need IMO is more focus on defensive shape, solidity more people protecting the back 4.

The Pichichi when you take away pels: Messi 18 Cronaldo 8 Falcao 6

Like when you went last season Season before. And it was a home game. If I went to see them away at a team I'd have the decency not to be pro-Barca, something the fucking Valencian locals can't even do. VI called it right when he said they're a nation of glory hunters.
-
So many glory hunting wankers in the crowd.

Iniesta is ON FIRE. Wowzas.
-
Actually it's 8 including another 2 Copa del Rey games. He didn't play in the last one though.
-
Heard the commentator mention this and had to check. What the fuck man!? He's going to hit 100 (!) goals for a calender year. Mental. Nah, probably not. Only got 6 games left I think.

Lambert left a bigger club than Wigan to manage Villa. Swansea attracted Laudrup. Fulham have got Jol. Even if it's not Martinez I find the idea we couldn't attract somebody who could coach decent football into our squad a bit mad. Even if it is Ashley/Llambias, I think you'd have a queue of managers willing to do it.
