Why wouldn't we? Be boring. We could all go and do something more interesting. It's got more meaning than pre-season games and I'll listen to them I think. Granted, I don't have much else to do but that's beside the point...

Are you sure about that? Zidane did win the world cup and the champions league Am I sure about what? My point is that no matter how good you are you won't win every game/cup/league you're involved. The criticisms of Messi now can be made of Zidane, Maradona etc. like I've said. Obviously the more you do win the easier it is to make the argument that you're one of the best.

"I know he's great 'n all and the best in the world right now, but he does seem to lack the all-round game that Zidane, Maradona, etc, had." Zidane's 'all round game' didn't really help him in all of the other Champions League campaigns he was involved in. Messi has already won it more times than Zidane (and Maradona), even with his one-dimensional playing style...

To be honest I don't think I've ever seen O'Hara or Boateng play, I just think it's wrong to write players off because they've been relegated. After all the same central midfield got to an FA Cup final.

Bassong and Duff aren't doing too bad.

Didn't we become champions on Monday?

Barcelona only need to win 2-0 at home to Inter (which they've already done this season) but they're already out apparently...
-
Champions, get in. Been a hell of a few years. From King Kev ...to... ...to relegation...to promotion...
-
Strange as it may sound, people might just want Barcelona to win irrespective of whether the other team is the one you support. I want Barcelona to win because they play the best football in Europe (after Newcastle.)

As for the N'Zogbia to Arsenal crap again...c'mon...out of all of the left wingers in the world are Arsenal really going to go for a player who scores about 2 goals a season on average? It's only because one of these goals is quite good that people go mental again. Arsenal can't sign any left winger in the world though and he fits their blueprint just like he'd fit ours if he hadn't already of played for us. For some one who has Laurent Robert as their avatar you can't be throwing heartless around. (i loved Robert btw) Robert had end product to make up for his lack of effort, N'Zogbia doesn't.

Duff has been the better player this season to be fair. It's only because one of these goals is quite good that people go mental again. Anyone who liked Zog for us is mental IMO. He was just as heartless as Viduka, Owen, Duff etc. probably more so.

Rubbish because he's rubbish. Better than Amoebi and Best, guess who just scored, 2-0. Scored against Boro? I take it all back, top scorer next season, you can quote me on that.

I really doubt it. You struggle to find many midfielders scoring ten goals, never mind one in a team battling relegation. Add to that the fact that he'll be a year older and fatter and it seems unlikely. Your argument is flawed - there is no way you can call him a midfielder I doubt we'll be playing like this next season though, with one striker and Nolan playing off him. If we do I'd be worried. He played loads of games this season as a central midfielder as well.
-
He's been poor whenever he's played this season. Aside from the moments where he's had a yard of space infront of goal. Yup. He's probably our worst striker in terms of general play, IMO. Good goalscorer though, at this level anyway...

Why yes, yes you are. I see the truth hurts...

Pork scratchings with your bitter, sir? I'm vegetarian*. and not bitter, I think Reading will dominate and play very well (their form is excellent), but you'll scrape through nonetheless. Not everything I post on here is bitter, it's upsetting* that many seem to think everything is nowadays. Yes it is. You said in the past you're not entirely serious, well if that's the case you may as well do away with the whole faux-bitterness, as it's not really very funny either.

Lovenkrands and Carroll on the bench should be good if they start to tire. Throw them both on late on and I doubt Reading will be able to cope with their pace and power.

Shola as a lone striker?

I really don't see the point in the likes of GG and kingdawson posting on a Newcastle forum when they don't even seem to like Newcastle... At least Village Idiot cheers us on.

Colo back to his best in the PL is going to make Bassong look like a distant memory.
