To be fair to Mackem Goodman he was drooling over Jose way before he scored - player of the season, so fairly play to him, even if he is a dirty unwashed so and so. Beagrie is a good pundit as well, he's been championing Jose for ages now.

I keep refreshing Getty images.

You could say that for another of our CBs... Either way, both are good enough to play for a midtable team, with decent players around them.

Were you calling Taylor earlier this season when he was hardly putting a foot wrong? His "performances on the pitch" this season can't be questioned. As for players wanting what they feel they're owed, why do you think Carroll changed his agent last year other than to ultimately negotiate him a big fat pay rise? i dont really get what taylors playing to the crowd is either ? Seriously? That's secondary to whether he's the last man off the pitch, I was a bit concerned as he almost mugged himself and went off second last yesterday, but he showed a good level of concentration to notice the man behind him, stop and turn to applaud the almost empty stand and delay until he was the only player that loves the fans more than life itself left on the pitch. Deserves 104K a week for his exits this season. he's always the last off away from home applauding the travelling fans when others often f***ed off without a peep....the t*** eh ? people dont mind andy carrolls violence providing he puts in a performance but taylor gets stick for this. this deserves a place in the "what baffles you" thread. EXACTLY. "Oh Coloccini, I'll let you shag my wife" As they say. A player that performs on the pitch can do whatever the f*** they like. A player that doesn't perform on the pitch, but mouths off like he's the best thing since the bread knife is seen through. Taylor has performed on the pitch this season. FACT. Yup, for all the praise Williamson gets, our best defensive record is with Taylor in the team. Obviously other factors have to be taken into account but you can't deny that Taylor has been good when he's played.

With a user name like Ronaldo, he's bound to be a little annoying. -

It seems the real reason that Carroll hasn't been dropped is that he's now picking the team: http://www.skysports.com/story/0,19528,11678_6060860,00.html -
http://www.fulhamchronicle.co.uk/london-sport/allsport/2009/10/22/qpr-relieved-after-spurs-confirm-loan-agreement-113489-24992174/ Taarabt is definitely realistic. Never seen him play personally though.

I don't want N'Zogbia back.

He shouldn't be allowed to play, the club have condoned his actions by playing him. Carroll has history, he’s assaulted his girl friend and allegedly stuck a glass in somebody’s face. He should be behind bars for what he’s done if this is over texts and bragging, never mind a fine of two weeks wages. He’s been photographed with bandages on both hands so it was a sustained attack and not one hit. If that moron assaults anybody in the near future then the club has played a part in it as they are allowing him to do that by covering for him. If Carroll assaults anybody then everybody who has supported Carroll over this has played a part in his future actions because he shouldn’t be in a position to do it again. The way they've acted with Barton, it really doesn't suprise me. That little scrotum should have been out the door months ago. I know Hughton wasn't everyone's first choice but that's a bit harsh.

What are your views Fraz? Hard to know without all the facts but as the pundits say, I think it's part and parcel of the game. I've played football and rugby in the past and I've known plenty of fights between players on the same team, normally settled by the end of training. Carroll's seems worse in that he broke Taylor's jaw but is that the only thing that makes it worse than Shearer/Gillespie or Rooney/Michael Gray, the fact that he's got a harder punch? Glassing someone at a nightclub is different though.
-
I don't mean to be facetious, but Mick, what are your views on Robson getting into a fist fight with his players at Ipswich and Shearer attacking Gillespie?
-
because if there were no other witnesses they know that if taylor says nowt then they have no case It seems Arsene Wenger Syndrome has hit the training ground. Just makes the silent witnesses as bad as the brawlers tbh. Just strengthens my belief that I couldn't give a s*** about any of the players, they just happen to have control over the destiny of our club. we dont know if there were any witnesses. the main one ,taylor deciding to say nowt. Shh....just keep slagging off the state of the club and the country as a whole. Little things like evidence aren't needed. what you waffling on about ? Never mind.

The internet forum you're on about has an eye witness account on page 28 of this thread. Read on from this post http://www.newcastle-online.org/nufcforum/index.php/topic,58769.msg2094746.html#msg2094746 And the Taylor incident, how many eye witness accounts do we have of that? What injuries has Taylor sustained? How many punches were thrown? What did Taylor say/do? What did Carroll say/do?
-
Well to be fair it depends what has gone on because unlike internet forums, courts have to look at the facts before making decisions.
-
Not surprised at all. Even he looked a bit tired on Wednesday. Yeah. You'd think Guardiola would've rested him for Osasuna though and played him tonight it what will probably be the tougher game.
-
Messi rested for Barcelona. Pedro---Ibra---Jeffren up front.
-
Binman scored two more today, that's 15 goals in 21 games this season.
-
Maybe we could lend Villa a messiah? Looks like they need one.
-
Speaking of Spurs, I see they've signed Sandro. I didn't realise the wheela-deela Arry's contacts stretched beyond Portsmouth. Let's hope it was done behind his back and the entire club implodes.
-
I can't believe so many seem to think that Hughton's job ends at picking the best eleven to play. It's his fault that we aren't always playing cohesively (although to be fair, we've improved significantly since his signed Routledge etc.). You can say the players aren't suited to play fancy football, or we don't have big enough squad, or we have unfit players like Nolan but its Hughton's job to address these problems. I've said it before but the manager is massive in football, a good manager can get crap players (individually) playing well by fitting them into a tactically sound team, hence Roy Hodgson's success and the fact that Bobby managed to create a Champions League standard team with Titus Bramble , Andy O'Brien and Andy Griffin in defence. I still don't rate him as a manager although he deserves credit for some things. I don't have a vendetta against him either, I actually want to to succeed. I try to convince myself during the week by looking at our stats that he's a good manager then come Saturday (like Bristol City) and I lose all hope again.
-
He was at a 50 Cent gig apparently. As long as he wasn't getting pissed I'm not that bothered. Everyone knows he smacked Taylor whether he plays in gloves or doesn't or whether he goes out or doesn't.
-
Strange that some many people rate N'Zogbia so highly. There's a a reason he went to Wigan...Wigan ffs...at least Milner went to Villa.
-
I doubt Man City will care that much, not with the money they've got. Man City 5th Everton 7th ...will be more important to them.

Could've done with Harewood for a game like this.
