Barton is still living off past reputation, he may be the best midfielder in the Championship but he's still done **** for us. Enrique looked class at times last season, in some of the hardest games as well.

So far it doesn't look like Enrique is going, should be really good news IMO. A lot of the time last season he was our best defender, even better than Bassong. Shouldn't have too much trouble in the Championship either, he showed against Rooney his strength is match for anyone. Just thought what with all our defenders going we should concentrate on one defensive positive.

for the last 5 or 6 years i've only felt a connection to the name "newcastle united", SJP and the strip. the players,management and board (both) have for the vast majority of it left me cold.
