  1. He may be worthless but I don't get the hatred? He's getting picked because we haven't got any replacements, don't see why he'd quit/retire like some have said. Plus, he's a professional and seems to like the club. I always thought players who try their best should be forgiven if they aren't good enough, can't see how you'd argue against that.
  2. He was good in his first season back from Birmingham, just crap since then.
  3. Crazy. I reckon it would be a better option to play Sylvinho as you say. Then maybe Caceres at CB even though he is a little inexperienced.
  4. I doubt Toure will play CB again. WTF and Keita LB. :kinnear:x2
  5. To be fair to Oba, he's been struggling with this groin/hernia problem for most of this season. He's also been struggling due to his lack of a brain and the required ability needed to be a top level striker. This - On the nail....10m wasted. 7 mil less than Owen though. That makes it OK then? You could use that excuse for every single member of our squad. i can't believe this s***, how have we "wasted" 10m on martins? he was bought at 22 or something and his goals kept us up in his first season as i recall it he's suffered with from as the team have diminished down to the bare bones of crap and yet he's still the player we'll get the most money for when sold who remains in the squad - he's got more desire to play for the shirt and the club than most anyone else and is our top scorer this season i think? "wasted" get a grip When did I say it was £10m wasted? I said that using the fact that he was cheaper than Owen and therefore good business is stupid. But thanks for making up my opinion for me.
  6. Absofuckinglutely. This is key, there is just so much work to do, there is no time for sitting back mauling things over, having a break, then finally making the decision on who will be the permenant manager some time in late June early July. But why do I get the impression that that's exactly what will happen ? aye i want our team to be signed at the start of the season in time for the 1st game, none of this before the transfer window shuts s***, really players should be signed so that they start pre-season training, that gives you better preparation no, no, no, don't you know it's haaaaaard to sign players these days? it can only be done right before the window, apparently If you were a Chairman of a club why would you sell a player a month before the window ends? as opposed to selling him hours before it end and having that amount of time to find a replacement? yep, that's logic for you fact is the clubs willing to spend the money don't f*** about do they? they sign the players at the value(s) asked or walk away if the value is too high and look at another target early doors Like Man U and Berbatov, how many weeks before the end of the window did he sign? oh come on dude, you're not really comparing the situations are you? when they NEED a player, i.e. have a gaping hole in their squad they don't wait until the last day of the window to sign him man u held the power in the berbatov deal 'cause they DIDN'T need him as they'd just pissed the league and hadn't lost any players - all parties knew this including berbatov & ferguson but spurs had to sell as he was going to be a disruptive force in the squad when not given his move we, on the other hand, have massive holes all over our squad that can be filled by vast numbers of players better than we have already - the first asking price too high? move on and get the next guy in for pre-season or wait until the end of the window again, yeah lets have a s***/empty squad again 'cause man u paid a fortune for berbatov near the end of the window, THIS must be the secret to their success All chairmen hold out till the last minute, it makes business sense. Why do you think there's so many transfers at the end of the window? Coincidence? Laziness? Hah.

  8. They didn't, it was roughly 6 million. Fail. Sorry meant did, that was the whole point of my argument it was a massively exaggerated figure.
  9. wtf are you on about? Defending someone or something against wild accusations incorrect facts doesn't mean you support that person or thing....
  10. Can I just say that I don't care if Owen leaves this summer anymore. But the whole 'Owen apologist' argument is pathetic. It's like calling someone a Nazi apologist for saying the Nazis didn't kill 60 million jews.
  11. Blatantly bottled it. Like Beye, or is his injury different? What injury has Michael Owen got? The one that kept him out of Fulham which when scanned showed nowt and mysteriously had disappeared? Showed "no serious damage." Whatever..... It must be difficult being a teenager. Probably. It must be difficult being an Owen apologist. Its called being a realist, I've never said he wasn't a drain on the club. All I'm saying is that injury prone player gets injured....surprise surprise. Too many people wearing blinkers though. Injury prone doesn't even begin to describe this lad! He must be made of glass, ffs. Exactly! So is it such a surprise he's injured again? Let me introduce you to sarcasm I originally responded to someone else's post about Owen bottling it, saying he's always injured this is no different. You say its different because he's faking it. I say I doubt it. You bring up random post I haven't even read despite having a different line of argument when arguing with me? (oh, and this was after you went in a huff) So has he bottled it or is he just injured as usual?
  12. Its that stupid rule where the table gets frozen after so many games in the season. Mental rule.
  13. http://news.bbc.co.uk/sport1/hi/football/scot_prem/8064923.stm How come Motherwell are behind Hibs in the table despite having more points?

  16. She gonna ditch him at the altar?

  20. They all have, I agree. But Viduka brings a hell of a lot more to the team than Owen, and Duff at least tries every now and again Owen's supposed to be our captain man, he's a f***ing disgrace He's obvious not captain material, I agree (especially when there's five or six better options). Viduka brings more at the moment but he's only changed since Shearer came in (a bit like Owen with Keegan).
  21. Ronaldo why do you hate Owen so much over say Duff or Viduka? They've all been wastes of money and as bad as each other?

  23. I remember some daft fuckers on here saying they didn't want him He's a bigger moaner than Owen, he'd be just as **** here as Owen is.
