From .com Reserve team: As a consequence of our demotion from the Premier League, the reserve side automatically forfeit their place in the Premier Reserve League. It's expected that we'll return to the Central League (aka the Totesport.com League) which ran as three regional leagues last season - Central, East and West. Academy team: As youth Academies are accredited on their own merits, the league that their parent first team plays in has no bearing on their own status. Our Premier Academy League season sees us routinely face sides such as Barnsley, Sheffield Wednesday and Derby County.

Plymouth away is going to be an 800 mile round trip.

Since when does Martins visit the quayside? He lives on the Quayside doesn't he?
-
Its about 1h45m in the car, dunno about train times.

Shearer , sign him up, Shearer Shearer sign him up Why? Because he's a Newcastle fan? I'd rather take Berbatov if that were the criteria. I've got a feeling Berbatov might not want to play in the Championship though.
-
I guess one of the good things about Vuckic is his size (6'2 I think?) so he should be able to cope in the Championship.

“There are too many people here who don't give a f***,” Fabricio said. “Too many wasters, too many chancers. There needs to be a clearout, from top to bottom.” Fabricio Coloccini, 25/5/09

Shearer should have bought him on and beheaded him while holding his pony and then one mighty swing into the crowd. Probably a yellow. You really hate him don't you?
-
He didn't when on loan at Stoke, so no, I doubt he would do well.

**** off, we wouldn't be in the PL in the first place if it wasn't for Keegan.
-
Shearer for next season tbh.
-
to be honest this will likely not sink in until we kick the season off a week before the PL Exactly, fair play to the lads at the game, they cheered the team on right till the end.
-
bottled it again, has he? Like against Boro, right? Like against Stoke I think he means.
-
not sure if that's good news or bad news, tbh. Good surely

But Malaga are much, much better than Hull. What about Osasuna? Still much better. You take the bottom six of the La Liga and pit them against the bottom six of the Premier League and they'd maul us. Totally disagree with that. When Osasuna played Barca earlier in the season they played the better football for big parts of the game.

This is one of the best things (yeah, I know) about being relegated, you really do see who gives a damn.

Steve 'I'm a Geordie' Bruce?

And yet he's still our top scorer in all comps and joint top scorer in the league. and hasn't scored once in the time that Lovenkrands has somehow managed 3 (with a quarter of Owen's time on the pitch) And yet scored about 10 in half a season. But he's lost all his ability he had....ummm....4 or 5 months ago. you're saying it as if he was doing something extraordinary, he's a striker in the 'out and out goalscorer' mould and a penalty taker 30 goals in 4 seasons man, you sometimes have to look at the situation and say, perhaps the patches in which he was scoring are the exception I'm saying it as if its something extraordinary? I'm just saying he scored a few goals earlier in the season which loads of people have forgotten about. As for the 30 goals in 4 seasons....it hasn't really been four seasons has it? More like two and a half, which is a bad thing obvious- no-one can deny that he's injury prone, but when he plays he scores a fair bit of the time.

He may be worthless but I don't get the hatred? He's getting picked because we haven't got any replacements, don't see why he'd quit/retire like some have said. Plus, he's a professional and seems to like the club. I always thought players who try their best should be forgiven if they aren't good enough, can't see how you'd argue against that. Because he's a fuckin t*** as well? He thinks he can spray 50 yard passes when everyone knows he doesn't have the ability. He gives away fuckin ludicrious penalties and free kicks. He talks absolute crap to the Chronicle every week. He's signed on for another year when if he had any respect for the club he would have retired as he must know he's completely finished. The guy is a completely useless t*** trading on 'experience' when in reality the only experience he has is the armchair ride afforded him by Keane and Scholes. I'd be amazed if you found a more technically limited player in the league. Its hardly his fault managers persist with him.
