Who are the managers that are worse than him at our level?
  2. If we win this then yes I agree that we'll win the World Cup, however hads on because we do need to win this game first.

Fuck it then, if you can't see what's happening there's no point me telling you.

The "You've had too many" shite, the last comment of the desperate. I have only had 15 pints, I think that's a sensible amount to drink. Go and sniff your mam's knickers you pleb, I'm off to bed. The above was done for entertainment value but I seriously wish someone would take Brett out for his walk more often. Amazing that this is what we're being subjected to on here now.

Don't beat around the bush, just tell us what you really think of certain posters on here... Not falling into the trap of a 15 year old daft mincer like yourself trying to goad me into you calling you a c*** that doesn't have 2 brain cells to rub together and knows as much about NUFC as I know about fine dining mate, not going to happen. This is the situation we're in here, 3 or 4 idiots winding the rest up something rotten and there is only one set getting banned any time soon. It's pure bollocks. Done well not bite, mate. Speak English. And look up irony. Div.

There are some fucking arseholes on this forum, they're running wild and getting away with murder. Subtle WUMary is allowed, therefore being a cunt is allowed, calling such people cunts isn't. Getting on my tits now, time to find something else to do.

Aye, that's totally the same thing. Come on man, that's just point scoring to a ridiculous degree. Are you saying you held no resentment towards the likes of Souness who held on for their pay-off?
  10. Well you would. Some of the stuff you've came out with over the years has been beyond mental, same goes for Pleat.
  11. He's absolutely full of shite that bears no relation to reality, to give some balance. This forum's David Pleat.

Just another chance to take the piss out of the fans.

The problem is that there are more tough fixtures now than ever. It used to be the case that there would only be 3 or 4 games that you'd subconsciously write off and hope for the best, the rest of them you'd assume you'd have a good/average/fair chance of a result of some sort. Now you've got 7 sides that are excellent/good (Man Utd, Man City, Chelsea, Arsenal, Spurs, Liverpool, Everton) which is over a third of your fixtures straight away, then you've got a number of really decent sides that can turn anyone over on their day such as Swansea, Southampton, West Brom, Norwich, Villa, etc. That's why you really need to be winning home games against the likes of Hull and West Ham, there aren't as many 'easy' fixtures later on to get yourself out of the shit. On the other hand, I can see the points required to stay up decreasing the more that that top 7 gets better and pulls away from the rest.

Agreed, that's why I'm hoping we're not about to enter one of those patches and will pull out the odd surprise result. Because the alternative is getting to the Norwich game, hoping you can turn form around and before you know it you're at Christmas/New Year still hovering around the bottom. If Ashley was predictable enough for me to know Pardew would be sacked after another couple of losses (and a good option brought in as his successor) then I'd perhaps have mixed feelings, but as it stands my main concern is that we plod along and avoid the ignominy of another relegation.

We're not really going to be in big trouble if we're roughly averaging just over a point a game which probably isn't beyond him, although the next 5 or 6 games will make it difficult. And being in big trouble seems to be the only thing that will get us rid of him, meandering along in midtable is fine.

Can't see him ever offering to resign unless he's seriously bullied out of the job. The stand-off will continue unless we're starting to look really doomed, which isn't the case at all at the minute but there are some very tough fixtures coming up. I really just want us to pick up some points personally as it will start getting a bit worrying soon if the players' heads drop even further than they have done.
  18. No but I don't see much point in updating it every week as not enough really changes and also nobody seems interested. Will update the OP every few weeks I reckon.

It's a game that can't be won man. Does something wrong? Blamed and well deserved. Does anything right? Should have been doing it anyway, no credit. And anyone who thinks I'm misrepresenting the no-win fantasy world they live in, where the minimum acceptable criteria for a manager is "gets everything right all the time", please, provide a comprehensive list of things you would actually give pardew credit for. And I don't even like the f***er - although to some I'm sure if I'm not actively trying to set him on fire I must want to lick his hoop - I'm just tired of the ridiculous blindness on display sometimes. I love the I don't even like him disclaimer while defending him. Saying that there are some on here who would rather chew off their own dicks than say he got something right - and create unwinnable situations so that that can never happen - is not defending him. Coming out and attacking the opposition in a more urgent/methodical way 2nd half was good but it doesn't excuse the first half. I think he/we did well against Villa and bits of the Fulham match were decent too. That and an ultimately futile attempt to get back in the game today have been alright, the rest of the season more of the same.

Completely. I'm glad we didn't humiliate ourselves after we'd already humiliated ourselves. We were unforgiveably wank first half. It's not as if the highs justify the lows with this manager. Villa away this season and Chelsea home last are the only big lights I can see amongst the pathetic defeats and other listless performances since the beginning of 11/12. There appears sometimes to have been gradual improvement but it's not good enough. Lots of managers have been long gone for less than this.
