The first 11 we had out were often far superior to the one we were up against in games that we lost and drew last year, it's really as simple as that for me. We were far less than the sum of our parts for almost the entire season. Even the games we won and snatched draws from were ugly on the whole and we almost made a pig's ear of a few of them. Really fortunate not to go down IMO.

I seem to remember him scoring a quality goal against Man Utd the season before he signed for us. Met him in a pub once btw, lost control of myself and said "Hi Les, you're amazing...", could have played it cooler like.
-
Yep, I think we tried to put a stop to it when Shearer got injured but he'd given Spurs his word. Not sure whether Dalglish had much choice in the whole business tbf. He was fantastic for us but seemed to stop running at defenders after a certain point in 95/96 which had been one of his most dangerous attributes. Still offered us plenty though and it was a phenomenal 2 seasons from him overall.

The Newcastle Online Emo Experiment 2013/14 - After GW11

OK, personally I think this is clearer and more to the point. Win votes added together, same for loss votes, then win/draw/loss the only thing recorded. It does make the forum more emo mind, but it's fairer. http://i.imgur.com/iNog6zA.jpg -
just add all the win votes and all the loss votes. Win: 116 Draw: 10 Lose: 7 Have done for the first 4 games, happy to continue doing so if people think the above split is of interest.
-
Any chance we can chance the poll to simply win/draw/loss? Sorry mods, I know I'm pushing my luck but I've worked out my old method was stupid.
-
The consensus is that it's 1 promising game, nobody need count any chickens but it's encouraging.
-
Always heard he was one of those players that weren't really interested in football and just saw it as a job, which might explain it.
-
I said he couldn't spend so much time on the sidelines again because he's taking up valuable wages and our owner is tight. I stand by that, if he ends up spending half the season out injured again then we'll be seeing plenty of Jonas and maybe even Obertan so it might require a re-think. If we can keep him fit most of the time then of course he's one of our most indispensable players.

Bought Cole from Bristol City.
-
I don't mind him either, I just think it's been clear for at least 18 months that he's most definitely not a winger and he's also not one of our 3 best central midfielders either. That goes for the whole 433 business tbh, abandoning a formation that was working wonders to appease one player and never returning to it (perhaps we did against Villa, as it happens) is what turned me into a full-on, foaming at the mouth Pardew cynic. He's got miles and miles to go with me but if we stick with the adventurous stuff we showed at Villa and I start being entertained by the team on a regular basis again then that's what is important to me as a fan, and what I was so fucked off about being taken away for next to no reason for so long.

My last post was more of a question than a statement btw. At the very least they're related.

You don't see that many great team goals though to be honest, the ones that happen tend to make their way into these compilations.
-
He'd be best off staying at Everton for a year or 2 like, could see him sitting on the Chelsea or Man City bench for years if he ends up going somewhere like that soon.
-
I don't think there are any rules against 5 year olds signing up, thickos are also reluctantly accepted, and also Dutch internationals that are products of the Ajax youth academy who are highly rated by Graham Carr and have never let us down in an NUFC shirt are usually thought fairly highly of. I'd like to see our record with Anita in the team, we certainly seem to perform better when he's in the side IMO, not sure how we'd be better with Tiote playing for example.
-
I really like Anita, he hasn't been given nearly enough chances but we generally look a better side when he's there.
-
Kids are thick little cunts like, can't help but hate them. LOL JK, they're areet.
-
Exactly, he blew too early, he should have waited but didn't which tbf has given us lots of fun Well aye, it's fucking hilarious but I'd be spitting blood in the same situation. Reminds me a bit of that David Luiz foul against us the season before last for some reason, seems to be the sort of call that the "big clubs" often get the benefit of and it sticks in the throat given all of the other advantages they have.
-
Well that's fine and he should take it back for a free kick. I think he'd have scored anyway, personally.
-
Why does he blow the whistle before the attacker loses the ball? Makes zero sense, blow it when the chance is 100% gone.
-
Surely you don't blow the whistle until the attacker has lost the ball? Thought it was an absurdly bad decision, myself.
