The triple reply is something I don't think this forum's ever seen before jotenko arrived.

Unloved is an understatement. Nobody can stand the little prick. See, even Neville 'I just wanna take you knickers off' Southall knows the score. I just wanna what?

Clubs like that don't often come straight back up, it's a wonder they've been in the Premier League as long as they have.

Feel a bit persecuted by the FA this evening tbh. They must hate us, there's no other explanation for it. Whoever said earlier that it could be something to do with the Michael Owen thing might be on to something. Anyway, feels fucking great to know we'll be sending our players on to the pitch for the rest of the season with hardly any protection whatsoever, with opposition players given carte blanche to do whatever they like. If that challenge wasn't deserving of retrospective action then what the hell is? Hope we're seeking legal advice because this feels like the opposite of justice. Horror challenge, followed by player showing no remorse, player getting applauded off, opposition manager/owner trivialising the challenge, silence from player, then the FA taking no action. Something needs to change because this isn't working.

I'm personally not taking offense or owt like, just think it's mental.

Without these punishments existing, people will continue to perform the same crimes. This is relevant in football and in life. I think the kid knows he has done wrong and so does everyone else except Whelan and it wouldn't surprise me if martinez doesn't pick him for a couple of games anyway but it still won't help us. "You think the kid knows he has done wrong" This is based on what? The reassuring pat that he gave Haidara, having been told to by his team mate? Or the complete silence after the event? No apology from the player or the club, in fact they have done the complete opposite. Absolutely gutted they weren't all given a f***ing harsh punishment even though it wouldn't have directly affected our results. The result is all that matters and banning him won't change the result. so you don't agree with any bannings ? Not after the event. They're a deterrent man you mentalist, if there were no bans then most games would consist of players kicking each other aheight. Didn't happen in the past before the FA reviewed every thing the ref missed on dvd. Oh hang on, so you're all for 3 match bans if the ref spots it but not if he doesn't? Makes no sense.

Fucking hell, the plot thickens!

You're doubtless correct and I'm sure Whelan and Ashley are as big c***s as each other, but it says a lot about Whelan that he'll trivialise and defend a brutal, career threatening attack on a talented youngster new to the country just to score points that don't make any f***ing difference to anyone. He's lost my respect completely. Whelan never had my respect. I've never been that arsed about him either way.

Wonder when we'll get some news about the injury. Hope it's miraculously not as bad as expected.

The fact we spend most weekends talking about refereeing decisions rather than the actual football. We should be working towards a situation where there is less and less doubt over refereeing decisions (i.e. using the available technology) yet it seems to be getting worse and worse in this respect.

Couldn't agree more. We've been cheated out of a point and a opposition red card but it doesn't change the fact that we were absymal today. Again, irrelevant. How the f*** is it irrelevant? Had we got a point I'd have still said we were s***. Because we were. It's not relevant because even though we were s***, that isn't even the second reason we lost, let alone the first. It just just seems pointless to mention it when it's a by-product of us not only having loads of players out injured, but being completely f***ed over by the officials. And not just the direct affect that those things have, but the way it effected our play. Our attacking play is clueless and appalling every week, yet it's not worth criticising our attacking play for being clueless and appalling this week, because the ref was s****? No, what I mean is that this match hasn't even given me the opportunity to criticise our shitness. We were s*** without Cabaye, then Debuchy, then Haidara. And with the worst refereeing performance I've seen since Martin Atkinson's. We were s***, but nowhere near as much as we were robbed and unlucky. Our shitness just doesn't seem worth being talked about after that. They're justifiably excused today. I'm not buying anything implying the side we had out today wasn't good enough to get a point or 3 off Wigan, sorry. The last 3 starting 11s to play Wigan away were: http://i.imgur.com/YifVmSw.jpg (0-4, 2-2, 2-3). Hardly worldbeaters on the whole but they all got more than we did. And I'm also not buying us simply being on the bad side of misfortune and bad refereeing today either, we looked toothless. Bad luck implies we deserved something out of the performance and we didn't. I'll grant you that we should have been up against 10 men and might have then made a better fist of it, but it comes to something when you're bemoaning not having a numerical advantage against a team looking nailed on to be relegated instead of just getting on with beating them. Whether we've played well or not, we should be sitting here tonight with at least 1, maybe 3 points. On the whole, good performances where you dominate the opposition yield points more often than not and trying to squeak your way to a tedious win is a risky business. We only have ourselves to blame when it doesn't work out.

So the lack of an attacking plan goes out of the window as a criticism when one of our players gets done? Come off it man. I could perhaps buy into the reasoning that we were upset and angry at the challenge, causing a disjointed attacking effort against shite relegation fodder thereafter... if we didn't play like that every fucking game! The referee's performance was pathetic and so was ours, again.

Kicking up a fuss seems to be the only way to achieve anything, the FA largely want to hide without taking action and are generally heavily influenced by media pressure.

You won't be able to stand it because you're constantly defending a manager who can't get a talented team of players playing football. Bye. Maybe some of the players we have aren't as talented as you make out ? You don't think we're better than this?
