Why the fuck am I reading about this shit? My fucking work's company intranet site is more interesting than this bilge. I don't care, man - just buy some players.
-
Does - they've made a massive deal about it Oh, I don't disbelieve that's what they've said for a second.
-
That's what they'll call him, Jizz Hands Pardew. Actually hold on a minute, is that his own fucking hat?

We've got the brains of Britain on board at our club so I presume so. I agree that we need to be seen to be doing something but am annoyed that it's another thing that fleeces money from / antagonises the support. There's been enough of that the last 4 years and combined with the ridiculous singing section scenario it's yet another thing where real supporters take the hit. More and more will be getting fed up with each of these measures - what's a minor issue to some is the last straw to others. Yep. Won't be long before they bring out some wanky 'awayday passport' or some such s*** to watch us away from home. There has to be a bit of a compromise and making membership free for away fans wanting tickets would have been sensible and suited board and fans alike. Moves like this (justifiably) invite criticism and cynicism. But isnt it more a case of charging the extra membership fee to prevent young wannabe thugs from showing up to games like the Darlo one because they are nearby and cheap? Not saying it's a very well thought out plan, but I can understand the logic. The only fixture that's nearby is Sunderland, and that's neither cheap nor easy to get a ticket for.

Saying that, if they put their hand in their pockets and plug the gaping holes in the squad then I'd imagine this would be water off a duck's back for most. The singing section issue is worse imo because there's no logic to that and it will have a significant effect on the atmosphere in the ground. PR-wise the people running the show are just absolutely thick as fuck, there's no feel-good factor around the club at the moment and they're not helping matters.

That's the main reason I have one tbh. In which case it currently serves as a 'queue jump' service for many. Doesn't this development negate that benefit somewhat?

This will undoubtedly put a few off who are just sick to death of these twats or like the convenience of waiting around until tickets go on general sale and perhaps buying a ticket if they want one. So what happens then? Does this mean that we're going to be sending back a hell of a lot more tickets? I wouldn't underestimate the power of being able to make a spontaneous decision on a 'customers'' behalf, but then again the club don't get any revenue for away games so it means nowt to them. Never mind if we bring a lot less fans to grounds, they're bringing in an extra few grand. They wouldn't dream of implementing a similar scheme for home games, because it affects their bottom line and that's all these cunts are arsed about. I went to 5 or 6 aways last year and will probably do similar next year. Personally this doesn't really affect me because my mate at work always gets my ticket and he and his family have 3 memberships between them, meaning they can get upto 6 tickets for most games. I'm assuming that they have memberships so that they don't have to wait to see if it gets to general sale. They do go to a good few aways, a lot more than me.

I thought you didn't have to count Harper, Saylor and Shola in the 25 as they're home grown? No, you don't count under-21 year olds and can have as many of them in your squad as you like. The craic with home grown players is that you need to meet a certain quota within your squad. On Football Manager it's 4 players produced by the club and another 4 players produced by other youth academies in your home country. Of course you could just have 8 players produced by your own club, or as many as you like for that matter. This is all off FM so apologies if it's changed or anything.

You have to laugh at these daft cunts.

If I'm intent on getting quite drunk for the match then I'll have a few drinks at a pub outside the ground and get there just before kick-off. Banning alcohol from the ground would only stop me getting a pint at half time, which was the situation at a good few away games last year anyway.

Ace stuff.

Nah, the article says 'bar at the ground' - I'm getting the impression he got a load of abuse from people as he made his way out of the stadium personally.
-
I dunno like. For me, a little part of Newcastle United died tonight.
-
This has really hit you hard, hasn't it?
-
If you loved it that much you'd be at the f**ckin' game. FFS.

Tbh there's a difference between whatever's happened here in a daft pre-season friendly and what those cretins do every time they manage to score a goal against us in a Premier League game. And the fact that there's never a hint of them getting reprimanded for it is what grates.
-
Wearside's such a mackem.
-
What the fuck man, honestly. Fucking divs. But, erm, the match is back on now?

Like the OP.

Great free view customers get NUFC TV but us paying customers to Sky and Virgin get fuck all. How on Earth do you know it wouldn't be available on Sky or Virgin? You're arguing with yourself man. -
Sorry man, but i disagree. I much more prefer MA to a rich Sheik who wants to use this club as his personal playground. The club is now in much healthier shape than the era of Fat Fred. We actually got some good players too. Promising youth is also knocking on the door, which they certainly didn't earlier. We've made gradual SUSTAINABLE improvement each season. How the f*** is this bad? Oh yeah, the improvement's been f***ing astonishing. I sometimes think about moaning and then recall the glory of the past 4 years and think better of it. Yeah: Tiote is no improvement compared to Butt, HBA is a crap player that must be sold immediately. Cabaye is plays for a shitty national team, Colo is a sub par defender with no technique what so ever. BA was useless in a seriously good team previous season, and Barton and Enrique are just utter shit. That's SEVEN horrible players. And still we have crap talents in Ferguson, Gosling, Vukic and Krul . The latter have had some cameos for a stinky national team. Whether you like it or not, progress is first and foremost measured through the quality of the players on the pitch, and we have not at all made any impact on that particular area the last seasons. It's measured through league position man you div. We were 12th in Shepherd's last season and 12th last season. In between we've had a relegation. And the rest of your post is utter, utter drivel which doesn't deserve a response.
