VAR: ‘Checking how NUFC voted last Friday’
-
This rule of a high bar is just a fucking cop out. You either have VAR, or you fucking don’t.
-
Piss off Pope. What the absolute fucking point was that?
-
Infuriating. It’s not just can’t though, it’s just fucking won’t most of the time.
-
Head it towards fucking goal.
-
Fuck me man, how does that ball stay in? If that was for us, it would hit the advertising boards.
-
Piss off Schar man, fucking sick of you going for that every time we are losing.
-
Aye, fucking sick of having 1 forward upfront. When we get the ball up front, we have no option because everyone is marking the danger man.
-
Bowen is 20 fucking yards away from him when the ball comes to him, he still gets to the ball first, then runs through for a shot at goal.
-
Fuck off man, just let them run fucking through you, fucking useless cunts.
-
About time.
-
Back in the day, you trained with the reserves the next day for shit like that.
-
No idea who thought it was a good idea to play him on the right, then realise it’s not a good idea, and swap him with Gordon, which is the same bad idea.
-
If we get it back to 1-1, West Ham will shit themselves.
-
Fuck off man, they wasted 2 minutes of that stoppage time.
-
It’s been frustrating, because that aside, we would be pleased but frustrated.
-
Fuck off referee.
-
Willock has lost every ball he’s had.
-
Keeper should surely have been booked by now.
-
Going to be one of those days here.
-
Just pass the fucking ball you stupid cunt.
-
Take him off, he’s not up for it today.
-
That was rather fucking quick that VAR check.

I’ve always argued that if we did have every Premier League match on TV, then it might be wise to do it by moving away from the 3pm’s. I’m not massively convinced that lower league, and non-league teams would take a hit. What was their attendance the weekend before the one just gone, compared to the weekend just gone, or the weekend before? Over the international break, women’s football filled the gap. 11k to see NUFC women’s. All the WSL, and Championship teams played at their clubs mains grounds. I’ve also argued that clubs should probably be doing non-league days. Imagine if SJP did a magic weekend style non-league weekend. You see 2 matches per day, could have North Shields vs whoever, West Allotment Celtic vs whoever on day 1, day 2 is Newcastle Benfield vs whoever, Morpeth vs whoever. £3 for kids, £5 for adults per day. Every year the teams change so everyone gets a chance to play at SJP and have a payday. On top of this, if the Premier League are earning such an increase in TV money, who’s to say you can’t just give grassroots football another £100m per season? That roughly translates to about £20k per team.

I’ve still went ahead and emailed 2 members of the House of Lords expressing my concerns and to ask them to consider rejecting the proposals.
