I’d imagine with data collection companies, online advertising, and AI they are in a position where they can do more effective targeting adverts than lumping millions on a sponsorship deal hoping someone see’s it and buys the product/service. With gambling being effectively banned now, and many AI and crypto companies being built on sand with the aim that a big player snaps them up or they can cash in on the stock market, they will be less likely to lump millions on advertising as well.

I mean in all fairness to him, he has brought in a sponsor for the training ground which everyone was calling for. It was only a couple of weeks ago people were happy at the rumour of the sponsor being Guinness. It could very well be that our sponsorship deal is awaiting Premier League approval, and we all know how fast they like to act with us.
