Well they are sharing them on social media platforms, so they will be doing it for the monetisation.
  2. Yeah, I mean Brighton is our first challenge and we shouldn’t be looking beyond that. However if you are looking at that Man Utd team from last night and in recent weeks, and possibly across the whole season, you would think if we can get Joelinton in midfield, then we should be able to dominate them.
  3. Forge FC, the Canadian team I keep an eye on had the idea to offer schools the chance to apply for free tickets to see a match. They were hoping to do it for the last game of the season, but realised they should test the theory out first. So today they are playing in a Canadian Cup quarter final 1st leg against Montreal (the equivalent of the FA Cup) and asked for schools to apply for the free tickets. They expected to only receive 4,000-6,000 applications. They ended up receiving and giving out to all 11,000 applications. Included in their free entry they also get a meal and drink in the ground. On top of this everyone else who bought a ticket also receives a free meal and drink. The game kicked off at 11am local time so the kids could attend. Absolutely lovely gesture.
  4. Yeah, both places are group stages, the Conference League though is a qualifier/play off round though. You would expect to overcome anyone you meet easily though.
  5. Yeah same. Europa League is the more prestigious of the two, however the Conference League would represent a much more realistic chance of silverware. Another top 6 finish would be excellent though, the top 6 teams get a greater percentage of international TV revenue, so financially it would be great for us. I’d even snap your hand off at a Top 6 finish and getting the Conference League because of the cup result.
  6. Yeah, it’s in our own hands, and in 2 weeks (maybe 3) we’ll know what we get. It’s just you always want to cross that line as soon as possible.
  7. If only West Ham or Spurs had put in a performance against Chelsea and got something out of them, we would be siting pretty now.
  8. As it stands, we have a +25 GD over them.
  9. Have we ever done the league double over them? We have a chance to do it this season, and with it a treble over them for the season.
  10. Aye, not a foul that in my opinion.
  11. Would have disallowed it for him being offside in anyway.
  12. So if Palace do win here, and let’s say we beat Brighton at the weekend, and likely safe to assume Arsenal will beat Man Utd. We could go into our game against them knowing that a draw would guarantee us to finish above them, and likely finish in a European position.
  13. Doncaster 1-0 up against Crewe in the League 2 play offs.
  14. Do they have a stadium with facilities set up for that level? No wait, that’s just North Shields.
  15. He’ll be fishing for someone to fund him to do a leverage buyout.
  16. If they sell off a load of players, I very much doubt they will be bringing many in. They will be bringing in from the academy. I got the feeling that Bellingham was their big name signing for the next few seasons, obviously hoping he has something similar to his brother and having to sell him later down the line, or at the very least hoping that someone somewhere thinks that he will, and pay over the odds for him. It’s like Anton Ferdinand all over again.
  17. Aye, what’s the lottery numbers?
  18. If you amortise that over 5 years though, that’s only £6m that would come out of next seasons budget. A £12m fee for him pays for 2 years of a £30m player. A £15m fee for him would pay for a season and a half of a £50m player. When you have the likes of Sesko, and David all available for around those price ranges, it’s a no brainer, especially considering his injury record. Imagine if we can keep Minteh next season instead of sending him out on loan, then sell Miggy and Murphy. We again will be able to buy a good RW player with amortisation, Kubo, or someone like that guy from PSV, or even Asprilla from Watford? In my opinion, if we can get a player in for those prices, it’s an absolute no brainer.
  19. Aye, nice of the fans who have had a generation who haven’t finished outside of the top 10, and the vast majority who have never experienced a 2nd division side to casually suggest being relegated in order to get new owners as they sit in 5th position, in probably the worlds best stadium, with commercial deals beyond what most would find appropriate for where they are.
  20. I’ve said it before, but I’ll say it again. One day people will look back on his legacy here and understand that he’s damaged football in this country. He’s the reason why we have 5 substitutes, with some in the game talking about rolling subs. He’s the reason why we have 10-15 minutes added on to games. He’s the reason why it looks like the League Cup will be scrapped. He’s the reason why FA Cup replays have been scrapped. The last point I admit I don’t have a lot of love about FA Cup replays, if we actually funded grassroots football as we should, then it shouldn’t be much of an issue, but he’s the fucking reason why in future some clubs are going to suffer because of them. The guy literally has no integrity, and all this bull from Liverpool fans saying that he just gets the city and culture, fuck off man, the guy does it so the camera is on him, not fucking Liverpool. To make matters worse, he gave Liverpool a fucking Premier League title.
  21. I remember that, would have virtually given us the Champions League place is Spurs got the draw, went from delighted to seething in the space of a minute. Felt like it was inevitable that Liverpool would catch us.
  22. Nah, he downs tools too often when things don’t go his way.
