We really need a pacey striker, Carroll and Ameobi won't be effective together, and neither will fatty Nolan behind them. We can't just throw Ranger in at the deep end either! Lita would've been a good signing, but I think Henri Camara on a free transfer would be brilliant for us!
-
Am I the only person that really hasn't been impressed by either team in this game? Adam Johnson looks handy, Quinn for Sheffield United is pretty tidy on the ball, besides that, neither team has any creativity at all.

I hope we got at least 3 million for Beye, and hopefully up front! Shame to lose him though.
-
Glad to see Ashley is so interested in the situation that he's f***** off to a different continent! I hate that fat c*** more and more every day!
-
It worked last time like, hopefully there will be some banners and chants at the hawthornes tomorrow and it'll really hit home!
-
Does anybody REALLY know what'd going on anymore? Lets hope the players are focused on the game tomorrow and not all the s*** in the newpapers like the rest of us!
-
His best position for me has always been Right Back, but he's never been used there for us due to Beye. That said, he is NOT worth £55-60,000 a week, so for me he HAS to be sold.
-
I agree. This stinks of desperation.
-
One of those articles also said that one of those brothers had lost an estimated £500 million due to the credit crunch and could ultimately lose more. Surely he's not gona buy a football club under those circumstances?
-
How many chances can he get though? I was happy to give him a chance, despite previous incidents, but when he does things like he did in the Liverpool game, he shows how ridiculous he can be! We don't need that in our team.

I thought Beye was only on 30-35k a year, i'm almost positive I read that before, either way, he was bound to go in the end so it's money in hand and money off the wage bill. Cracking player though, shame to see him go, especially to bloody Hull! I can't believe we're keeping Smith and making him bloody captain! Him and Geremi should've been first two off the wage bill in my opinion, along with the sacking of Barton, but I guess now we have to keep what we can......

This is depressing news for you boys then (although I agree he shouldn't be in the team!): http://www.nufc.premiumtv.co.uk/page/NewsDetail/0,,10278~1745272,00.html -
"The games have gone well" He's forgetting the Leyton Orient one for starters then...
-
Well that could explain why we should not "expect" him as chairman, maybe he's just brokering the deal?

Are these the blokes you mean? http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Robert_Tchenguiz

Pompey want Viduka haha, oh dear!
-
I was optimistic last night, now i'm not. Brilliant.
-
I hope this one is sirous
-
Let's just hope by some divine miracle that we manage to get a result saturday evening and it might well attract more interest! Do you think any investors could be waiting to see how we perform before they commit?
-
Frédéric Piquionne signs on season long loan to Pompey. Didn't we go for him before he signed for Monaco?
-
This is f****** ridiculous, i'm so angry it's unbelievable.
-
This is now breaking on SSN. Newcastle strongly denying it. Means it's undoubtedly true...

Well it's about f***ing time we call the c***s bluff! Spend nothing until he has to accept any offer he gets. Got to a point now where we can't damage the club anymore than he has, so hit him in the pocket. But none of the money we put into the club goes into his pocket. All it will achieve is to hurt the club even more financially and make it even harder to sell. This is the thing, we as fans did this before and it didn't get us anywhere, he didn't sell the club before so doing the same now will probably have the same effect! I really don't want to buy the new 3rd shirt, which I really like, just because it's money going to that fat cockney c***! The upsetting thing now is that with Sir Bobby passing away, a lot of shirts will be sold in his memory, and unfortunately all that money is gona go to that fat c***!
-
It still baffles me that the club have absolutely no communication with the fans. If they're hoping to flog all the season tickets and the merchandise they're rolling out, surely they would want to assure us everything possible is being done and tell us if there is actually any progress in what they're doing. In the current situation, we have an under-half-filled stadium and no one is buying the new shirts, surely this must hit home that they HAVE to do everything physically possible to get the fans on their side?! I'm completely sick now. When we went down I was optimistic that we could get that cockney c*** out and rebuild from the ground up, but 3-4 days before the first fixture of the new season and we're in worse shape than ever! How we've sold 15,000 season tickets (let alone the rumoured 25,000) I will never know!
