Can we really afford to risk Ameobi's injury? We could quite easily just play 5 in midfield and allow Nolan to push up behind Ranger. It's not the best tactic in the world, but it's better than making Ameobi's injury worse!

I watch quite a lot of Atletico as well and I would have to agree. Although I do think Heitinga played well for Ajax in a somewhat easier league, be interesting to see if he can cut it over here.

Isn't Barton set to return? He could possibly play on the left, although Kazenga seems to have given a reasonably good account of himself so far doesn't he? I think we're probably most likely to see Nolan playing off Ranger and then Smith/Barton/Guthrie/Raylor/Geremi in some sort of midfield four combination.

As said previously, Earnshaw is another one of those yo-yo forwards that does well in the championship and never quite makes it in the premiership. That said, has he done anything this season so far except miss a penalty? McGoldrick has been the one scoring goals for Forest hasn't he? This sounds good to me, too good in fact.
