  4. Why would mon go there? He demands lots of dosh and 100% control, he wouldn't get either off gulivan who let their attack dog brady have some control

    Shola Ameobi

i agree, hes our lump of shite! plus despite regular criticism i do think he's a half decent squad player
  8. considering we've gone for bentley and larson its obvious pardew doesn't really rate routiledge and would prefer someone else in his place so if we moved on routiledge i'd expect a replacement to be gotten
  9. Blackburn without question, West Ham maybe (though the new owners will surely have been shocked by the wage bill coming in) but Villa certainly won't. One of the problems Lerner had with MON seems to have been the excessive wage bill, particularly for players who he wasn't playing. The suggestion is that his unwillingness to cut the wage bill led to him walking out. I can't see Villa paying over the odds, even if they shift players like Carew or Reo-Coker out. on west ham they did just green light wayne bridge and 90k a week wages and want keane so yes they are willing to throw money around in a blind panic. Agree on villa though. Really don't like this jan window, either keep it open all the time or shut the jan window because whats going at present isn't good for clubs long term finances as clubs just panic buy for stupid wages in the limited time of the jan window

    Hatem Ben Arfa

can see it happening unless he makes a bit step up in form quickly, which is kinda sad as i had great hope for him

    Alan Pardew

sholas played 2 games hasn't he for pardew hasn't he......... still just obvious bigging up player, par for the course among managers really
  13. i'd think the big change ashley might want is a relegation wage cut clause, that hit him hard in the pocket last time
  14. a gamble but a low risk one, and he is better than ranger (as it stands) probably better than loven and not sure on shola, slightly improves our options up front so why not

    Alan Pardew

Tiresome tosh. The club sent Carroll to Dubai hoping that some R&R would aid a quick recovery. He's come back, been assessed and been ruled out. Until he came back on Tues/ Weds there was always a chance he would be fit. There's a lot of talk about Pardew being too talkative. I think nearly all of our managers have been keen to give the press a regular comment, certainly Keegan and Robson did. The only real exception was Hughton who kept his counsel and generally came out with very bland comments that many people on here criticised or complained about- especially his blatant dodging of transfer talk. I'm all for Pardew getting criticised for last weekend's shambles and if he loses on Sunday, but this hand wringing over his quips to the press is silly. NUFC are a club where the fans are constantly wanting news and as such the press buzz round the manager on a regular basis. Personally I can't see how the medical staff would not have known that he wouldn't be fit, given that there is seemingly only an outside chance of him being fit for the spurs and it a very distinct possiblilty that he will be given a further 10 days to recover and thus make his comeback at Fulham. It has been made out (granted a lot of this may be down to the media) that he was touch and go or 50/50 for the derby, however, from Pardew it's gone from "fingers crossed" he will be fit to the facthe isn't "even close", therefore to me we have been mislead. I can't say this is fact, it is just my opinion but at the same time you can't say for a fact that there was always a chance he could play therefore to dismiss it as tiresome tosh is just disrepsectful. you can never really be sure on injuries and the club did the right thing in hoping a bit of sun and relaxation for ac9 in dubai would help but sadly it didn't, shit happens nowt you can really do. as for pardew, all he said was hopeful never said certain to be playing and nowt wrong with that
  16. That really irritates me. Not that we have a wage cap, but that Alan Smith is earning enough for four decent players. i'm sure it irritates the ashley and co (mistake one ashley made, trusting fat sam) but its nigh on impossible to shift someone like smith when they're on wages like that
  17. can hardly be call unexpected, shame but i have faith in shola (i cannot believe i just wrote that)
  18. supposedly its ac milan (chelsea can't actually get him to sign a pre contract as of yet)
  19. product placement oh and rsc loaned to rovers
