He was one of those "scores 10000000000000000000000 goals in youth teams" prospects, immensely hyped 3-4 years ago, but seemed to stagnate as he grew up. He is a tall, powerful, striker and we never know what to do with those, to be completely honest. Still think we gave up on him too quickly, although IIRC he also pushed for a move to get more playing time. He was pals with Messi and they trained together sometimes, for what is worth (they're both from Rosario).

Winning? Playing without a recognized striker. Ah, true, I see they are playing with a fullback upfront.

Winning?

He was s**** in his last season at Liverpool as well. For me he's lost a little pace and a load of acceleration. He scored more goals in his last 6 months at Liverpool than in the next 18 at Chelsea, IIRC. His knee injuries hurt him a lot, losing pace and power which he based a lot of his game around. But there's a big deal of confidence issues there; he reminds me a lot of Atlético Torres, when there was this huge hype around him and he would snap at chances time after time. Then when he moved to Liverpool he became much more composed and confident.

That's not possible, honest grassroots footballers don't dive, only cynical hugely paid primadonnas cheat.

How does a 'typical German' look like? A heady mixtue of Uwe Rosler, Oliver Kahn and Michael Ballack. And a dash of Neuer's hairstyle http://upload.wikimedia.org/wikipedia/commons/thumb/4/4f/Manuel_Neuer,_Germany_national_football_team_(01).jpg/220px-Manuel_Neuer,_Germany_national_football_team_(01).jpg

He can be so dominant in games these days, and so clinical in front of goal. Really looking forward to Real - Man Utd. Think he's gonna destroy them on the counter almost single handed. Have to say, I admire him, he's such a great athlete. The way he moves just shows how good he is in shape. Never injured as well. Aye, he was pretty average in the first half, but turned it on in barely 10 minutes to decide the match. Personally think he'll murder ManU, not that I will enjoy it. Vidic and Rio

I quite like this idea. Liverpool = Mel Gibson - racist, misogynist c*** whose best years are behind him? Barça = Meryl Streep - wins a shitload awards and she's always up for an Oscar but a lot of people find her annoying?

Par for the course in Spanish keepers. There's few that are truly outstanding in the air. I think he was fouled, though.

Just watching Real Madrid - Getafe, an one of my pet hates has reared its ugly head: http://1.bp.blogspot.com/-CW6S2bLxo5Q/UEaS1qfGKaI/AAAAAAAAAuo/IrAfoizYyaA/s1600/ssssaaa.jpg A CB wearing #11

Ah, he'll come again. Have faith. Pardew on the other hand I didn't much much faith in to start with. Reading game blew away what there was Would love the bruiser that Brony seems to be though. Have a nagging feeling that there will be 1 or 2 club exits before window end too. And not the players the fans would want to leave either Dunno, with just four days left on the window and without rumoured exits after the Coloccini saga, I can't see any big profile player leaving the club. Who are you thinking about?

Didn't he once admit to feigning injury to force a move? Or is that an urban legend? Really, once he's been under several managers here and on loan, and none has fully trusted in him, it just tells you something. Depor had a strike force that made Heskey and Carlton Cole look like Pelé and Gerd Müller and he got about a dozen starts in two seasons there on loan.

They get so worked up about it and it's something so trivial If he was a Sunderland supporter that's fine by me, however I would think he's a pretty lousy supporter if he basically lied about his allegiance the minute he got our job. Even Bruce didn't do that at their place. I can only vouch for what I know and that is that he consistently said he was a Newcastle supporter. I've never heard him say otherwise and in spite of the evidence posters on RTG talk about proving he was a red and whiter I haven't been presented with any, therefore I've got to assume he was genuine when he said he was a Newcastle supporter. He even talked about being an NUFC fan when he was our manager, no reason to "lie" about that while managing a Spanish club...

Colo, Jonas. Aye, they're really useless. f*** me. I wasn't really emphasising on the useless part, more like the high wages and brought in before relegation part. Anyway I would say in Jonas's case, yes he's useless, whats the point in having a winger who can't cross? and by that I don't mean produce a decent cross by that I mean doesn't ever cross, he waits for Santon to overlap him or cuts inside. ¿Eh? Loads of great wingers don't cross and cut inside instead. That's no reason to slag him. He isn't a great finisher either, but I think he's been useful for you as a water-carrier and has (or had) a great engine.

To be frank, going off what I have heard during his loans in Spain he doesn't deserve one. How bad was he? Surely he was nothing like Ranger. Yeah, no problems with the law or stuff like that, but lots of stories of him don't giving a shit in training, feigning injury (he's been injuried *lots* during his loans), being on the piss more often than not...

He's the last "useless and on stupidly high wages" player from your pre-relegation times, isn't he?
-
I think a lot of people assume he's the same kind of player as Liverpool-Sissoko. Or even think it's him, who knows

A loan, up to Xisco to decide if he accepts. Córdoba need a good #9, I hope they haven't actually scouted him.

And bone-- Nah, too easy. I must resist.

2014/15 NUFC Kits - New third kit revealed on page 143
Village Idiot replied to bowlingcrofty's topic in Football
Just get the French NT kit as your away one. It's smart as fuck. Sissoko approves. -
Far shitter squads in the PL, to be frank. What's up with Bent by the way? Isn't he moving this window?
-
Just checked; they seem to have. He barely played during his loan and he was ineffectual when he did, so they have no reason for having bought him; immensely shady. EDIT: €13,5m and repped by Mendes. Yeah, nothing suspicious in this. Nothing at all.

Valencia are playing circles around Deportivo, but take Soldado out of this team and absolutely nofuckingbody seems able to score.
