  1. San Lorenzo are his boyhood club. Not according to Wiki (I know)? http://www.somoscuervos.com.ar/media/galeria/72/4/8/2/7/n_san_lorenzo_historia-2057284.jpg Also found a couple interviews in Spanish where he says he's a fan, from before the current fracas.
  2. I disregard them because they are hardly used and when they are used they tend to drop points Its almost like us considering Abeid, Perch, Jonas and Gosling as part of our CM depth when in reality only Sissoko, Cabaye, Anita, Tiote, Bigi and Marveaux can actually contribute on a decent level. They are not relevant they are just making up the numbers. Is it? i seem to recall Malaga talking about him being close to renewing his deal for over a week now, i still expect him to go in the summer mind but at least they are in good negotiating position now. Nobody was giving credit to those rumors, given the financial state they are and all the vultures circling Isco - who had "only" €20m as fee. Suppose the fact that he's a local and they are his boyhood club played a part; even if he is sold, €40m would help them immensely to shore up their finances.
  3. Unexpected news; Isco just signed a new contract at Málaga, doubling his release clause to €40m. Still achievable for the moneybag clubs, but at least a sale would fill up their coffers.
  4. It was a joke position, more honorary than anything; we play a game a year
  5. I just want Ben Arfa fit FFS. Guy has written "FF star" all over him but can't never get a season at full pelt off him.
  6. I'm really tempted with Sissoko, but I'll wait and see if he hits the ground running/what role AP gives him. He's actually chipped with a decent amount of goals in France when deployed near the box.
  7. Worth 6.0 in Fantasy Footie. Get on the action.
  8. Big money moves are rare in January, though. Most clubs don't have this kind of money budgeted, even the moneybags ones.
  9. He'll be sold in the summer, in my opinion.
  10. I wish Cruijff didn't quit managing completely after he was sacked at Barça; but he was probably afraid that there was only one way but down after what he achieved and he's obsessed with his legacy.
  11. Nolan off and Cabaye on then, now watch Nolan go in a scoring spree after doing fuck all since November.
  12. Is Cabaye fit for tomorrow? Shows up at 75% and I wanted to sub him in.
  13. Kaká "in talks with other clubs" according to Real Madrid's AssMan Aitor Karanka.
  14. I may be victim to the Real Madrid media hype machine, but he's considered one of the "four greats" over here. Then again he was the centerpiece of 1950s all conquering Real Madrid side (god, how I hate writing that), and my dad always says that until he saw Messi no player had been better than him in Spain.
  15. Pogatetz and Warnock, sometimes I feel like Big Sam just takes the piss Imagine if your transfer window had been Joe Cole, Chamack, Pogatetz and Warnock. Building for the future
  16. Sabella seems to be improving them; at least they seem to have a coherent plan and Messi is finally coming up with the goods. Wish there was Copa América this summer (somehow I thought there was, they have fudged with that tournament so much that I don't know when it comes up anymore).
  17. Fake account, but funny nonetheless. http://i45.tinypic.com/2uignfb.jpg
  18. "Breaking news! There won't be any more news."
  19. Sissoko was subbed in with 20-30 minutes to go. He played on the wing, actually, but was extremely effective at bullying our defenders when we tried to get the ball out. IIRC, he stole the ball that lead to their equalizer. Just checked the highlights, Juanfran lost the ball and it bounced to Sissoko, who lead the counter before laying it to Ribéry for the cross on Giroud's head.

  21. Falcao-less Atlético are just a bit average, sadly.
  22. "Atletico" is fine, it just does my head in when people write "athletico"; I have no way to know which team they are talking about; Atlético de Madrid or Athletic de Bilbao
  23. I really hope athletico are above Real at end of season I actually posted that just to see how long it would take for someone to mix up both teams' names
