Got a few on loan haven't they? I know Pizzi is on loan from Atletico, suppose it's only a Rory Delap thrown in down the coat back to Portugal from A Coruna. Yeah, they have a few on loan from Sporting CP. Pizzi is on loan from Braga, you're probably thinking of Silvio. Most of them are repped by Jorge Mendes (Cronaldo's and Mou's agent, also Falcao), whose reach in La Liga has become ubiquitous these past few years.

I think Depor is taking a page from you. Five Portuguese in their starting XI plus two on the bench for them in their game against Valencia. Also a Brazilian.

I actually read it as "hit here" and thought he was playfully assuming he'll be a target in this board.

Please don't say that before Tuesday Too late, the football gods will grant him a hattrick now.

I pay £11.99 a month for Man U TV?! No, Fulham TV.

I hope you get Ricky on the basis of his name only.

Pretty sure he scored against Real Madrid in a draw against Almería that pretty much took them out of the title race back in 2011. Dude's got a pretty decent career over here EDIT: google says I'm right. http://www.thesun.co.uk/sol/homepage/sport/football/4751858/Leonardo-Ulloa-I-made-Jose-Mourinho-suffer-I-want-to-do-the-same-with-Brighton.html

Not really random, Ulloa has been class in Spain. IIRC he was Liga Adelante's top goalscorer last season.
-
Giroud, what a crap signing, isn't he?
-
Looks class from the brief highlights I've seen. Unbelievable pace. Be interesting to see if he gets another spell there next season or goes back to the mothership. Indeed, Udinese/Team Pozzo's scouting system is absolutely unreal like. Well, they have pretty scattershot approach, but for every 10 average players they get a gem. Of course but I think it's the span of it that impresses me most. Going off wiki they've got 22 different nationalities in their squad/out on loan currently. Nuts. They have around 30 players on loan to Watford/Granada/others IIRC. It's a representation agency on steroids.

€3m? Really? REALLY?

I think Ashley forgot to set up his DoF correctly in Footie Man.

This lot are worse than Espanyol fans. Much worse.

He's a "give him the ball, don't ask questions" type of player. That's why I think he'll shine more in a team where he'll be the undisputed best player in the pitch, and not Liverpool where he won't be able to enjoy the free role he got at Espanyol. That said, he's still very young, so maybe he can still be moulded into a more tactically disciplined footballer.
-
He played on the left of a 4-5-1 for Espanyol, he's the quintessential trecuartista to me. Dunno what role he's been given at Inter (given that he doesn't seem to get much game time there).
-
I was expecting he'd get a run at Inter now that Sneijder has left, to be frank.

They were talking about it on here a few days ago. Southampton then bid more, but the player is supposed to prefer Liverpool. http://www.guardian.co.uk/football/2013/jan/25/liverpool-internazionale-philippe-coutinho He'd probably be better off at Southampton; he was brilliant under Pochettino at Espanyol. He's one of those players that you have to give a free role and make them the fulcrum of your attacking play, something he wouldn't enjoy at Liverpool. It's understandable that he prefers them, mind!

Which Signing (or Link) are you Most Excited About?
Village Idiot replied to Minhosa's topic in Football
So many decent/good players named Sissoko or variants of it nowadays; it's the new Diarra. -
To be frank, he isn't making any promises regarding the summer or anything (something the SLA fans in the forums I'm reading seem disappointed about). The letter is full of vagaries and half of it is just praise for the SLA board so over the top than it looks manufactured to make them look good despite failing to land the player. I'm also 99% sure that the agent wrote it.
-
SLA themselves divulged it, seems pretty legit.

I wouldn't say his passing is a strong point tbh, its good but its not outstanding what he's really good at is picking the ball up and going on Yaya-like runs bulldozing through the opposition and because of his pace and power he's just a monster defensively and offensively. We haven't had anything like him in as long as i can remember and we should be able to turn defense into attack a lot quicker with him in the team. To be frank the games where I have seen him play he's looked pretty decent at making the simple horizontal pass when needed be; he seems to use possession well.
