To be honest I think Barça's only WC players are Messi, Suárez and Busquets. Iniesta still has it but can't perform every game.

Man Utd used to run deep in the CL with the likes of Phil Neville, Park, Welbeck, Fletcher, Butt etc. hard working players who are tactically good and physically strong but with perhaps limited ability has always had a role at Man Utd. Difference is they helped the best players to shine. Lukaku did this thing tonight and continues to improve.... the rest? Awful. That's the football of 10+ years ago. Nowadays - for better or worse - big clubs stockpile so much quality you really need more edge on the pitch to compete. That ManU lineup is something I'd expect for playing WBA at home while resting your top players for a CL tie. Not the starting lineup of an actual CL tie.
-
What I don't understand is how ManU have spend such absurd amounts of money in transfers since Mourinho came, and in 2018 they are starting CL knockout games with the likes of Lingard, Valencia, Smalling, Young...

Mourinho is a lie.

You guys got an option on Kenedy or something? I've been impressed since he signed. Been sweating until you scored the 3rd. Damn that Bournemouth game. -
The Catalan SuperCup has been a 0-0 thriller, with us winning on pens. The English kid did get a sub appearance. Why does this even exist. Absolutely nobody gives a f***.
-
We bought him from Arsenal this January window. What's the point in that? None. I'd say it's a glorified friendly, but nobody even bothers to try to glorify it.

Marcus McGuane in our squad for today's Catalan SuperCup match against Espanyol. First Englishman to play for Barça since Lineker if he takes the field tonight.

I know you're being sarcastic but all of that sounds wonderful imo. I know you're being sarcastic but seriously fuck off yanks.

Imho it's almost certain this sale is part of the deal that saw Wanda sell their Atlético shares, it's being rumored that they'll take over the Chinese club that just bought Carrasco/Gaitán. Meanwhile, Atlético are left with 17 senior outfield players. Really their board seems to be Atlético's worst enemy.

That ball looks like it's got blood on it. MURDER ON THE SNOW.

Guardiola can go f*** himself with the yellow ribbon. Those people he admires so much tried to rob me of my constitutional rights as a Spanish citizen. I get no particular joy of them being in jail, but they are far from being saints. Sent from my MotoG3 using Tapatalk

No, they were fined because tifos have to be pre-approved by the Anti-Violence Commission. Of course, the "pre-approval of tifos" rule is there to avoid nasty racist/violent s*** in them, which makes this more beffuddling Fine is not final, hope it gets forfeited.

Around 20 people arrested in relation to match fixing in the Spanish Tercera División, with ties to China.

84 assists in La Liga throughout his career. He's in the top 5 since records are kept IIRC. A legend.

It's in all our papers, I don't think WBA will have a particularly good reputation after this Man, had no idea Pardew was stinking up my city.

Attendances are way down this season. Most people are blaming the political instability.

In other China-Spain related news, Wanda are selling their Atlético shares (20%) to some Israel investor.
-
A Chinese conglomerate has bought one of Spain's top media companies. They are heavily involved in football and it looks like they'll bid aggressively for the next 3 seasons of La Liga, which will be awarded in a few weeks.

Back to 6, was at 8 before this weekend.

They crashed out badly in the CL, but Atlético are quietly putting together a great league season. We're undefeated yet they are still close. If they sack the EL they may still challenge us.
