  1. Can somebody tell me why we keep calling Dani Güiza, it's not like he's scoring 15+ every season and he has absolutely nothing interesting to his game. Rather had Soldado in there, heck, even Bojan would have been better.
  2. VI? I really don't know. I suppose he's fine if he's made himself available. He can always take his mam with him anyway.
  3. Yeah. Iniesta, Cesc and Torres worry me way more.
  4. Marca running tomorrow the news that Real Madrid are close on signing Agüero. The cunts probably trying to unstabilize Atlético now that they can out-trophy Real Madrid.
  5. I skimmed through the list, and I misread and thought he had called up Jímenez from Getafe.
  6. Well, now that's interesting. During the afternoon meeting of la Liga, 31 La Liga clubs have used their majority and formally asked the government to force by law a collective deal agreement, opposed by Madrid, Barça, Atlético, Valencia, Sevilla, Bilbao, Villarreal, Getafe and Deportivo.
  7. He's never been in any Spanish squad before. But he indeed was heavily hinted to be in it this time around. So was Pedro. Cazorla and De Gea and maybe Martínez are the only real surprises I'd say, although all have had very good seasons.
  8. The Spanish 30-man squad is out! Goalkeepers: Iker Casillas Fernández (Real Madrid CF) David De Gea Quintana (Club Atlético de Madrid, SAD) Diego López Rodríguez (Villareal CF SAD) José Manuel Reina Páez (Liverpool) Víctor Valdés Arribas (FC Barcelona) Defenders: Raúl Albiol Tortajada (Real Madrid CF) Alvaro Arbeloa Coca (Real Madrid CF) César Azpilicueta Tanco (Club Atlético Osasuna) Joan Capdevila Méndez (Villarreal CF, SAD) Carlos Marchena López (Valencia CF, SAD) Gerard Pique Bernabéu (FC Barcelona) Carles Puyol Saforcada (FC Barcelona) Sergio Ramos García (Real Madrid) Midfielders: Xabier Alonso Olano (Real Madrid CF) Sergio Busquets Burgos (FC Barcelona) Francesc “Cesc” Fabregas Soler (Arsenal FC) Andrés Iniesta Lujan (FC Barcelona) Javier Martínez Aguinaga (Athletic Club) Marcos Antonio Senna Da Silva (Villarreal CF, SAD) David Jiménez Silva (Valencia CF, SAD) Xavier Hernández Creus (FC Barcelona) Forwards: Santiago Cazorla González (Villarreal CF, SAD) Jesús Navas González (Sevilla FC SAD) Juan Manuel Mata García (Valencia CF, SAD) Pedro Rodríguez Ledesma (FC Barcelona) Daniel González Güiza (Fenerbache SK) Fernando Llorente Torres (Athletic Club) Alvaro Negredo Sánchez (Sevilla FC SAD) Fernando Torres Sanz (Liverpool FC) David Villa Sánchez (Valencia CF, SAD) Valdés, De Gea, Cazorla, Pedro, Jímenez, Llorente, Martínez and Azpilicueta the "surprises" (some moreso than others). Probably the six cuts will come from them.
  9. Higuaín was born in France, he didn't get the Argentinian nationality until he was quite old I think, and that's the reason he - for example - doesn't have youth caps for Argentina. Although he's always been quite adamant he considers himself Argentinian and even refused a callup to France.
  10. That 1860 shirt has left me speechless. Holy fucking Christ.
  11. Would hopefully reduce the gap between Barca/Madrid and others, although I'm not sure how exactly Yeah, it actually happened last week but it has been officially announced today. At this point it's just speculation what changes it will entail, however, most journalists are just throwing around how the premiership works and assuming we are doing the same, which may not be the case in every aspect. At this point it seems unlikely that they will completely break with La Liga, however, just that the top division will get to make its own rules within the structure.
  12. Baraja's too old. Most of the La Liga players in that list that could do a job for you are too old I think. Surprised to see Chori Castro on the list (he's good), I guess Mallorca can't afford offering a contract. But you got Jonás, no reason to sign Jonás' old understudy at Mallorca. I'm pretty sure Klasnic is still under contract by Lens, he's just finishing his Bolton loan. Pretty sure Lens will sell him since they failed to gain promotion, though.
  13. Used to be more fun, can't say I have terribly enjoyed the league this year. Just a bulldozing marathon between both teams. Buth a trophy is a trophy, when I was a kid we only won the league once every decade instead of 4-5 like now so I absolutely *don't* take anything for granted since this golden age could end any time.
  14. Idiot me, I misread the article. It is right. It's just for Barça. Which is to be expected since we haven't had a Spanish striker starting regularly for us since the 1960s.
  15. Just read that Bojan is the first Spaniard to score in three consecutive league games since Luís Enrique did it in 1999. That's an awful record! Can't believe that the likes of Raúl, Morientes, Villa, Torres, heck even Güiza or Salva Ballesta never equaled that.
  16. Pretty sure Martínez just wants to piss Fergie off  http://www.telegraph.co.uk/sport/football/leagues/premierleague/wigan/6448946/Wigan-manager-Roberto-Martinez-hits-out-at-Sir-Alex-Fergusons-loyalists-and-FA.html
  17. Don't be greedy, he's bagged a goal and two assists already
  18. What's the deal with the Villa/Liverpool games. Doesn't finishing 6th instead of 7th allow you to skip some of those utterly annoying preliminary rounds played in July-August?
  19. 19 seconds is an eternity. In Sweden BK Häcken scored against Halmstad away from home after eight (8!) seconds! Not exactly the same, but Hagi once scored 3 seconds into the second half, from the kickoff point.
  20. Madrid would have won La Liga any other year, and it's silly not to think this same team won't do it in the next few years. Make no mistake, even if La Liga is a bit s*** I have never seen Barça have such a domestic season in my life. Fuck me, I'm talking like it's in the bag already, now I've jinxed it :frantic:
  21. Fulham shut off the league weeks ago. Can't blame them I guess.
  22. I see that Boa Morte scored for Wham, good to see him back in a pitch. Oh, and I'll withdraw my statement that Caldwell was decent.
  23. In other Madrid-related news. Tottenham linked to Raúl in our press. It's pretty much a given he's leaving Madrid at the end of the season, which honestly will do them a lot of good.
  24. Incidentally it's a funny situation that Real Madrid now depends - of all people - on Javier Clemente to win the league. If Valladolid didn't need these points so badly I'm pretty sure the bastard would throw the game just to piss them off.
