  1. Brooklyn is a kickass name I think. The other two are ridiculous for an English person.
  2. They're pretty spoiled. I know when Becks lived in Madrid the gossip press would go through his garbage and show what he bought. There were always a boatload of expensive children stuff, like game consoles, games, extremely expensive children clothing (I distinctly remember a 1000 quid shirt, I shit you not)
  3. Marca cites sources inside Madrid's board (they have them) to list their priorities next season for the LB spot, which has been troublesome for them this season with Marcelo failing to impress and Arbeloa being played out of position. - Ashley Cole - Patrice Evra - Gael Clichy - Kolarov - Filipe Luis - David Luis - André Santos FMtastic
  4. Well, we are the only Spanish team that can make it to quarter finals. That's a bit of a fail for our league, coupled with the fact we aren't doing great in the Europa League. Really sad for Sevilla, it would have been historic for them to progress, and would have given them a great base to grow as a club. We need real competition down in La Liga.
  5. Eto'o patting Terry on the back, second year straight
  6. This is kinda Chelsea's swan song, if you ask me. Without some major investment, which I don't see Roman doing, their squad are going to become the new Milan over the next few years.
  7. Classic Eto'o goal. He always makes it in the CL, chuffed for him
  8. Arn't Barca and Seville sort of rivals? No, we aren't. What makes you think that? I dunno, I just always though that, though I think I maybe getting Seville mixed up with Espanyol. That's like me mixing Sunderland with Everton man

  10. Bah, Sevilla go 1-2 down. They need to score two now. Really believed they could make the quarter finals. They haven't been the same ruthless team they were at the beginning of the season though.
  11. I would support any Spanish team other than Real Madrid, it's only logical to wish non-odious teams of your nation well.
  12. I would like Chelsea to go out, to be honest. Bit bored of English teams dominating the later stages. Barca have won the thing just as much as English teams in the past five years and have been in the semis three years out of five. Your complaints aren't valid, man. I was talking from a football fan perspective, independently of what happens with us. I want fresh faces in the later stages.
  13. I guess it's a word play to mean "empower". Always thought that Coca-Cola Championship was way too long. To be honest "League 1" and "League 2" roll of much more easily. Are the financials better or worse than the previous deal with Coca-Cola?

  15. I love him. The funniest thing is that when he was with us he was very mild-mannered and soft-spoken. Then years later it was--- woah! What happened to him? We have had a lot of banter between us over the years (I remember the "Barcelona is a place well known for its great theater" one), and I cherished meeting Chelsea in the CL just for the chance of having a go with him. I really miss him being in the Premiership, that league fitted him a lot.
  16. Real good list that Yeah, a boatload of Spanish clubs have that on their names Royal patronage was very commonly granted to the senior sports and arts associations of Spain's major towns in the early century. Only one per city in the same discipline, though, which is the reason there's only a Real Madrid and not a Real Atlético de Madrid, etc... it's not done anymore, which means that any association carrying the "Real" name has a bit of story to it, usually meaning it's more than a century old. This is also the reason why we never use "Real" to refer to Real Madrid, unlike I have seen a lot of foreign press doing. It's just "el Madrid" (and Atlético de Madrid are "el Atlético"). I'm also baffled by the great amount of people that I have encountered that think Madrid are really linked to the Spanish royal family just because of the name. Incidentally, the King and the Crown Prince are well known Atlético fans.
  17. When's the last time a Welsh team was in the top flight? Swansea were there in the early 1980s, weren't they?
  18. 1. FC Barcelona 2. Real Madrid CF 3. Club Atlético de Madrid 4. Sevilla FC 5. Valencia CF 6. Athletic Club de Bilbao 7. Real Sociedad de San Sebastián 8. Real Club Deportivo Espanyol 9. 20. He along with Messi practically carried Barca for the first half of the season, when the likes of Henry and Iniesta were miles out of form he was scoring goals. If his form doesn't pick up between now and the end of the season it starts to enter flop territory, but not yet. What he said. He was immense up until December, but his form is terrible right now indeed. Jury's still out.
  21. Not sure about that story, we also have one about Zidane being linked to us at the exact same time but us preferring Dugarry It looks like every club has their Zidane rejection folk tale.
  22. Left wing, switching with Zlatan throughout the game. A bit what Larsson and Eto'o had going when they played together.
  23. David Villa? Torres is younger though. We would get more years off him.
