  1. Joe Kinnear? No. He actually picked up points from time to time. Honestly, never seen a side so devoid of a single clue of what to do in a pitch like Sammy Lee's Bolton. Makes me itch on the tought of Rafa getting fired and him becoming caretaker.
  2. Fuck me, I hadn't realized he was on the pitch tonight either
  3. They want it too much and are too impatient to give a good manager time to create a balanced, cohesive team. I think it's... eight? managers in these 6 years. And there will be a ninth soon.
  4. Incidentally, that's 6 consecutive years of Real not getting past the last 16. Pretty incredible.
  5. His last time there ended pretty badly, but it was another board.
  6. Man, this made my day. This Friday my Real Madrid friend had invited me to dinner at his place, and surely he was planning to give me stick about them being top of the league
  7. Marca already running a "Goodbye Pellegrini" headline
  8. Who else they going to get though? Yeah, nobody tasty unemployed at this time. I'm sure they'll go for Mou during the summer.
  9. ManU really taking the piss on Milan, like
  10. In a hypothetical situation: League title or CL win at the Bernabeu, which would you rather have? CL win at Bernabéu obviously, even if it means Real win the league. It would be an apotheosis... One of my greatest memories of being a Barça fan is when Sir Bobby won the Cup at the Bernabéu, and the Barcelona hymn played all over that sacrilegous place
  11. I know, not counting my chickens yet but... if they don't get to quarter finals *again* after all the cash they splunged... *fingers crossed*
  12. Really, the Fiorentina - Bayern game is one of the most awesome ties I have seen as a neutral
  13. Cracking stuff at Florence so far.
  14. I'm sorry Minister, but I have spent the past five minutes of my life staring at your picture and laughing out loud.
  15. Rodallega's quality. Probably will bite the hands off any club that came going for him, always have this feeling Wigan are on borrowed time each season.
  16. Now that I see you around... what's the status of Lennon? I read somewhere that he was asked to take 6 weeks off, but I went today over at physioroom (which is usually reliable) and they have him back by mid-march. I was really enjoying watching him play this season, he's heads and shoulders much more a player than he was.
  17. Finally managed to watch a replay of his goal vs Barnsley. Cracking shot
  18. Landon Donovan won't go for any amount that you'd be willing to bid for him. He's the crown jewel of the MLS and they are not going to let him go for anything less than a US record transfer. Having watched him for Everton I think he would be quality for you lot, though. Plus it would be a great entry to the American market. Soccer Football fans idolize him here. And just as I posted this I go and see a guy in a Donovan Everton shirt walking through the corridor of this library. I'm freaked out now. And not only because of the coincidence, but the fact that a guy would wear an Everton shirt out on the open, god the thing looks *awful* with that fake white neck.

  20. Isn't he 21? I agree that he has improved a lot throughout this season, though. I remember watching him when you played Sheffield (the shit one, I don't remember if that's United or Wed since I always mix up both Sheffield teams) and he was completely lost on the pitch. But lately he looks much more assured. Might just be confidence, but he needed to improve and he has done so.
  21. We don't play playoffs at neutral venues, though (something that I have always admired from English football, tens of thousands of people flocking to Wembley for a League 2 promotion playoff). It's always a two legged affair.
  22. In the Spanish league promotion playoffs (from our third tier downwards), the teams placed highest in their division always get a bye to the playoff "finals". I think it's a very good system since it gives more succesful teams a definite advantage and a reward for their regular season. I don't think playing 2-4 more games over two weeks is an advantage for the lower placed sides, to the contrary.
